Yesterday around 5:14pm, I got a call from a bloke with a foreign accent who sounded like he was working in some call centre. He actually knew my last name and said my washing machine warranty was ending soon. Then he tried to sell me an extension for 2 more years. Thing is, my machine is over a decade old, so I’m pretty sure any warranty ran out ages ago. I told him I’ve never paid to extend any warranty and told him to shove off. Total scam, watch out for these dodgy calls!

I got a call from a bloke with a foreign accent, then he handed me over to a woman, also sounding foreign, who was trying to get me to renew my fridge freezer insurance cheaper than last year. They asked me to verify my identity with bank or card info. Strangely, they knew my name and address but couldn’t tell me the brand of my freezer! They kept pushing, but I got wary and said I didn’t have the details to hand and to ring me the next day. Unsurprisingly, they never did!

On 24th May 2023 around 10:47, a call came from 0162 639 1198. I answered but didn’t say a word. Nothing could be heard from their side. Seems like a probable scam call on my landline.
