I received an unwelcome phone call from someone with a pronounced foreign accent. It was a lady claiming she was reaching out to discuss my life insurance policy.

I've received calls from this number several times over the last week. I ignored it until today, and I can confirm it's definitely a scam. The caller mentioned some random name and then attempted to pry for personal details. I hung up straight away and have now completely blocked the number.

I picked up the phone and heard a woman greet me by name. I was a bit taken aback and kept repeating “hello” multiple times, which probably got on her nerves. I've since ended the call and gone ahead and blocked the number.

What a thoroughly irritating lot! They called and then hung up repeatedly, shattering my much-needed lie-in and interrupting a rather splendid steamy dream, if I may say so. Seriously though, where’s a hero like the Equaliser when you could truly make use of one?

Yet another nuisance call from Magrathea Telecommunications Limited popped up on my phone. I’m not familiar with anyone using this area code, so I chose to ignore it. That number’s getting the block treatment now!

I've been receiving calls from these people asking for someone I’ve never even heard of! I've told them repeatedly that they’ve dialled the wrong number, yet the calls just won’t let up. It’s becoming quite frustrating!

Received a call on my mobile, but they got my name all wrong. (It sounded like they mispronounced my first name and tacked a 'Mrs' onto it.) They hung up as soon as I said it wasn’t me.

I received a call from a telemarketer who insisted on chatting about life insurance. Despite my numerous attempts to inform him that I wasn’t interested and that he should ring back later since I was in the middle of work, he simply wouldn’t take no for an answer. Ultimately, he hung up on me, displaying quite a lack of courtesy. Quite unacceptable behaviour, if you ask me!
