Picked up the phone but there was complete silence, no sound at all. I mentioned I couldn’t hear anything, then for a brief second, faint chatter like it might've been a call centre, but then it went quiet again. The line’s tone shifted a few times, but since no one spoke I just ended up hanging up. Really frustrating and weird situation.

Got calls back to back two mornings in a row but everytime i picked up, no one said anything. Pretty strange.

Got a call from someone with a South Asian accent trying to sell me a monthly boiler service. They asked for someone by name, and I immediately guessed they must’ve plucked my landline from the phone directory. When I questioned them on where they found my contact details, they insisted it came from a survey about boilers I supposedly did. Complete nonsense! Since my landline is registered with the TPS, they clearly used my number without permission. Plus, they straight up fibbed about how they got hold of it.
