Just got another call from someone saying they were from the Emissions Advice Team about a Mercedes we once had. This is the third time this kinda call has come through. Sounds like they're pushing you into some dodgy scheme. Best to stay clear!

Got a call from some call centre pretending to be a solicitor’s office, saying they want to put me in a group claim against BMW and Mercedes about dodgy emissions controls. They claimed I could receive thousands in compensation. The annoying thing is, they ring from loads of different numbers and completely ignore any stop-calling orders I send them. They also won’t take my info off their lists despite my GDPR and Data Protection Act requests. Feels like a total scam - best stay well clear of these lot.

Someone rang me from this number, but I couldn't hear a word from the other end.

I received a call from a contact centre purporting to represent a law firm. They were keen to include me in a group compensation case against Mercedes and BMW regarding emissions tampering in their vehicles. They suggested I might be eligible for substantial compensation, potentially in the thousands. However, I’ve noticed that this same outfit has numerous other phone numbers and blatantly ignores my requests to stop contacting me. They seem to have no regard for the Data Protection Act or UK-GDPR with respect to removing my information from their system. This raises serious concerns about potential fraud and scamming. Best to steer clear!

I received a rather dubious phone call from a call centre purporting to be solicitors, suggesting I might join a mass compensation claim against Mercedes and BMW regarding alleged emissions cheating devices installed in vehicles. They mentioned I could potentially receive thousands of pounds in compensation. However, this same outfit seems to operate under numerous different numbers and blatantly ignores requests to stop contacting me, as well as failing to adhere to the Data Protection Act and UK-GDPR statutes regarding the removal of my information from their system. I'm strongly suspecting this could be a scam or fraudulent activity - steer clear!

I received a rather dubious call from a so-called solicitor's office, asserting that they could include me in a group compensation claim about those emissions cheating devices installed in Mercedes and BMW vehicles. They promised potential payouts in the thousands! It seems this outfit operates under various different numbers and blatantly ignores requests to stop contacting me or requests made under the Data Protection Act and UK GDPR to wipe my information from their records. It all feels incredibly fishy-definitely a scam to steer clear of!

I just received a dodgy call purporting to be from the DVLA, but I can tell it’s a scam. Definitely not the real deal!

Initial call: Ringing from 01625342939, they profess to be associated with the DVLA concerning diesel emissions claims. The voice had a distinct South African lilt. When I inquired about their cold-calling tactics, they abruptly ended the conversation. They identified themselves as "Emission Advice." Follow-up call: Received another from 01625342939, this time again asserting to represent a diesel emissions claims firm. My query about the nature of their unsolicited call met with silence, and they promptly disconnected!

I received a rather peculiar phone call from a woman hailing from South Africa, who asserted she had some connection to ‘emissions’ related to a car I once owned. What really threw me off was when she actually mentioned my name, which set off alarm bells in my mind-definitely seemed like a dodgy spam attempt!

A chap rang me up, mentioning my name and claiming to be from some diesel advice group, regarding an emissions claim linked to my vehicle. He rattled off a number, which I can't verify since I have a personalised plate. I was rather tight-lipped and hesitant when it came to responding to his inquiries, and he reassured me by saying, "There’s nothing to be concerned about." To which I quipped, "Of course, you'd say that," before he abruptly hung up. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I received a rather unexpected phone call concerning an incident involving my vehicle - and yes, it really did happen! The caller claimed to be affiliated with ABI and mentioned they were following up on a claim related to the accident. When they inquired about the current status of the claim, I had to admit I was in the dark since I wasn't the one behind the wheel at the time. To my bewilderment, she pressed for the driver's details, presumably to check on the claim's progress. I firmly told her I wouldn’t be sharing that information, especially given that I had no assurance of who she actually was. Her response was rather curt, saying if I wasn’t going to provide the information, she couldn’t assist me any further. Quite taken aback, I swiftly ended the conversation!

I can't fathom why someone would ring me on a Sunday to prattle on about some new recycling initiative. He introduced himself as Malik. I simply ended the call.

Today at half five, I had a phone call from an individual claiming to be with a recycling firm based in St Helens. They were inquiring whether I was considering new double glazing and offered a discount on any windows purchased from them. The chap was rather courteous, and I politely declined his offer. He seemed unfazed and wished me a pleasant day in return. The number that rang me was 01625 342939.
