7 yearsJust after I’d ended a call on my landline from a different number, this number rang, part of a bunch of calls I got one after another. The person on the line, sounding like they were from overseas, said my computer was hacked. They were really pushy, almost rude even. After I didn’t answer, the same voice left a loud message telling me to pick up. I ignored it. Then, for about three minutes, my phone kept ringing, like fifteen times, each call coming from a new 016 number.
