4 yearsI received a rather persuasive phone call from a gentleman named "Peter," who had a distinctly British accent. He claimed to be a supervisor from the fraud department of Santander. He stated that they had blocked a suspicious transaction related to an Air B&B booking and asked if I had recently tried to request new login details for their banking app. When I assured him I hadn’t done anything of the sort, he proceeded to inform me that they would be issuing me new account details and a sort code, just in case my existing ones had been compromised. What raised my eyebrows was that he had my full name and even the last three digits of my bank card.
