The call had that sort of crackly background you get with call centres and then this guy with an Asian accent claimed to be from the “BT technical department”. It all felt really dodgy to me so I just ended the call. I seriously doubt BT ever actually ring customers first. If you have an outstanding bill, they normally send letters. And as for any technical problems, from what I’ve seen, they wait for you to contact them first.
