Nonstop calls from loads of different numbers - 15 at least - have been blowing up my landline every single day for the last ten days. They already have my name and address yet still keep asking for personal info, which seems dodgy. One call even said they were about to cut off my internet, which freaked me out. It’s clear this is some sort of scam. I’ve tried checking the numbers with TPS, but they reckon these types of calls aren’t covered, so I’m stuck. Anyone know who you’re meant to contact to put a stop to this or track these scammers down? I’m really at my wit’s end here.

Can anyone shed light on whose number this belongs to?

So this person kept ringing my mum a bunch over a few days, saying she could claim back over £2,000 for bank fees. Today, they said she only had to send £500 first to get the money. When i said there’s no way she’s falling for that, the caller lost it and shouted some horrible insult at me before hanging up. Proper rude and sketchy!

I answered a call and a woman introduced herself as Susan. It was quite difficult to decipher everything she was saying, but as far as I gathered, she mentioned that I was supposedly owed a cheque for more than £3000. Then she went on to say that a solicitor, a certain Mr. Robinson, was in my vicinity and could deliver the cheque to me today. However, she insisted that I would need to fork out over £200 to this Mr. Robinson to receive my cheque! This was on Wednesday, the 29th of May. When I told her that her claims sounded utterly nonsensical, she abruptly hung up on me.

I got a call from someone pretending to be a police officer, but it was actually a visa scam. Totally dodgy!
