I’ve had people from Asia ring me about 15 times over the past couple of weeks. Every time they call, they ask for my identity and somehow already know my exact address. The last caller even tried to find out when my debit card was due to expire, asking if he had the right info. I told him to mind his own business and asked why he needed that info, then hung up straight away. Just to mention, when I first answered, he claimed he was calling from some sort of call blocking service!! Be careful out there.

Got a call from an Indian guy claiming his name was 'Norbert' right when I was dealing with a serious incident. I’d already reported a crime nearby, and the police were involved, using that same number to contact me. It felt totally wrong and quite rude, especially with him laughing and talking about 'insurance' during such a tense moment. I just hung up straight away.

I’m here to flag this number after receiving a rather untimely call from a chap identifying himself as 'Norbert' - though I suspect that’s not his actual name. He was an Indian gentleman, and to make matters worse, he found something quite amusing towards the end of our conversation, which left me feeling rather uneasy. This seemed to have all the hallmarks of an insurance con or a company that’s somehow gotten hold of my personal details. I've dealt with plenty of dodgy calls before, but this one takes the biscuit.
