I picked up and the guy straight away asked if it was me by name. I said yes and asked who he was and what he needed. He just ended the call after that, maybe I confused him a bit too much.

Suspicious call! They didn’t leave a voicemail - if they were legit, I’m certain they would have. We’re signed up with the TPS (Telephone Preference Service), so this caller is actually violating UK regulations. Most likely scammers, but even if they aren’t, it’s still a shady bunch so best to avoid dealing with them! The best bet is to just hang up, or if you’re feeling cheeky, pretend to be interested and waste their time.
