They seem to be up to their old tricks once more. This time they say they’re calling from Carphone Warehouse. Don’t fall for it, it’s definitely a con - genuine companies won’t ring you out of the blue and ask for your account info.

When I asked where they got their info from, the caller quickly got rude and started swearing, even asking about my background. These people behind this number are definitely scammers - if they realise you’re onto their scam, they turn aggressive and start harassing you. Avoid them.

Thankfully, my partner saw straight through the ruse since they didn’t even have his proper details, and hung up. Today, I got a call from yet another unfamiliar number, yet again with a different area code. It’s clear these calls are connected, as the caller mentioned my partner’s previous conversation from two days ago. I challenged him, saying that if he was legitimate, he’d know my partner's name, but he blundered that too. That was the end of that. Don’t be fooled by these dodgy calls!
