Got a call from someone saying they were with "your electricity provider" and wanted me to verify my MPAN number. Having worked in the energy sector before, I immediately knew it was dodgy. I told him I knew the score but he carried on pestering me. I said if he was legit, he could send a meter reader round to prove it because they’d need that info anyway. Classic scam, nothing more than a big con as usual.
