They urged me to press '1' on my phone-clearly a ploy to access my broadband router. Notably, they didn’t specify which bank was involved or any related details, opting instead for a vague yet alarming phrase about my banking being at risk. Could it be a hidden agenda to actually compromise my information? It's worth mentioning that the phone number isn't registered, and to top it off, we don’t currently use BT broadband (having switched away roughly four months back). I’ve taken the liberty of reporting this dubious call to BT Security, as well as the national "Action Fraud" website at https://www.actionfraud.police.uk/.
