I’ve been bombarded with calls searching for a Mrs Cotteral! I repeatedly explained that no one by that name resides at this number, and it seemed they finally took the hint... until today when my phone rang yet again. Let’s just say my patience wore thin this time around!

What on earth happened that the Telephone Preference Service didn’t manage to stop this?

I received a rather peculiar call from a chap who mentioned something about a 'lifeline'. He inquired whether I was over the age of 65, to which I chose not to respond. When I pressed for details about who he was, he claimed they were determining my eligibility for a complimentary 'lifeline.' Strangely, he didn’t explain how they intended to do that, considering I hadn’t shared any personal information. Consequently, I decided to block the number, and it’s worth noting they’ve since attempted to reach me on six separate occasions. Clearly, this is a scam!

I got a call earlier today, the 2nd of May 2016, inquiring if I happened to be 65 or older. I didn't directly confirm or deny but was curious enough to ask which organisation was behind the call. They mentioned I might be chosen for a complimentary lifeline service. Quite curious, really!

My elderly mum received a call from this number referring to Lifeline. Despite her number being on the Telephone Preference Service list, it seems they decided to bypass that. She mentioned that I would reach out to them, but I've witnessed how effortlessly these individuals can manipulate their way in and secure appointments. After the call, my mum was left with the belief that it was someone from her existing emergency button service wanting to have a chat. Just be cautious, everyone.

Just a quick note for those who might be concerned about this firm. My mother had scheduled a visit with them for 11.30 today. She called them multiple times every quarter of an hour to inform them of her change of heart. We even reached out to the police, who suggested it was likely a scam and advised us to dial 999 if they persisted. Fortunately, our wonderful family banded together just in case they showed up, but in the end, they never did. It’s a valuable lesson learned. A word of caution to everyone out there: never divulge your address. Support services won’t reach out to you; it’s imperative that you initiate contact. Stay vigilant, folks!

I can’t shake off the unease after these individuals rang my mum thrice! She’s gone ahead and set up a meeting with them for tomorrow, which has me feeling rather anxious. I've urged her not to open the door when they come knocking. They’ve lured her in with talk of a free lifeline, which sounds a bit dodgy, to be honest. I even attempted to call them myself, but it’s like I’m talking to a brick wall-no one picks up. There’s a chap named Richard who’s been in touch, and my mum mentioned a woman too. Honestly, it’s got me quite perturbed!

I received a call from someone claiming to be from Lifeline, who inquired whether I was over 65. I can't believe I fell for it! I told them I was, and they went on about me being eligible for some complimentary Lifeline service. I thought it best to hang up on them.

I keep receiving calls from this number quite frequently. It’s rather annoying, particularly when I'm queuing up to sort out an alarm. I just set my phone aside without engaging. They've mentioned they'll try ringing back soon.

Despite being registered with the Telephone Preference Service, I still receive these types of calls. The other day, my phone rang, and when I answered, there was just silence on the other end. This isn’t an isolated incident; it’s happened more than once now.

I received a call from a woman representing Lifeline, claiming I was chosen to receive a personal alarm. When I inquired whether her company verified against the Telephone Preference Service, she quickly apologised and hung up. Quite suspicious, don't you think?
