I received a rather dubious call from a chap who sounded Indian or Pakistani, claiming he was reviewing my broadband connections. He inquired if I was aware of the frequent interruptions I was facing. He then offered to "assist" in rectifying the issue. I promptly declined and informed him that I'd reach out to my provider instead. Afterwards, I contacted BT, and the engineer on the other end cautioned me about these scam calls and advised me to report them here. It's utterly brazen how these individuals operate; when I refused their "help", the caller insisted he could sort things out, all while potentially attempting to compromise my IP address and bank details.
