It's always a young Asian guy with a thick accent saying he's calling from Energy Helpline - the lot who supposedly switched me to my current provider and can help me save cash. For BT landlines, you can dial 1572 and add the number to your blocked list. Probably other providers offer something similar. That’s not true, I did it through USwitch. I called Energy Helpline myself and they confirmed they don’t make calls like that. I gave them the number (last time it was a Manchester one) of these scammers. Somehow they’ve got hold of our account info and use it to trick us into giving more details, then they’ll clean out our bank accounts and show off in fancy cars.

So annoyed by this number ringing me loads of times a day. Always no one on the line when I pick up. Does anyone know how to make these calls stop?

Some bloke with an Asian accent claimed it was some energy support line and said I'd rung before, but I never did. Then he told me I was already with some cheap provider and hung up sharpish. He knew my name and number, which aren’t widely shared apart from my phone company and a handful of mates. Don’t bother engaging, it’s just cold calling most likely using dodgy number lists.

Received a rather pushy phone call from a cold caller. They were after the person responsible for managing the gas and electricity accounts. I've since blocked the number!

Got a call from a bloke in India who wanted me to send pics of my feet to some place in Delhi, very weird indeed.

If they were real, wouldnt they just leave a voicemail? They keep ringing like mad, sometimes six or more calls a day, even at half past eight in the evening!

Got a call from a woman who sounded Indian, asking for someone with a totally different name. Seems like she had the wrong number.

Energy assistance line, always an Asian voice picks up. They keep calling me loads of times every single day.

I received calls from this number on the 26th and then again on the 29th of January 2018. I chose not to pick up either time, but I did manage to trace the number using 1471. The caller appears to be unknown.

Received a call requesting to speak to the person responsible for the household. I made it clear that I do not entertain unsolicited calls and promptly hung up.

I was under the impression that this sort of thing is against the law. They called me multiple nights in a row, and when I finally picked up, I had to tell her to cease calling.
