I keep receiving annoying calls from this particular number repeatedly. In the evening, either my daughter or son usually call, so when the phone rang at 7 today, I eagerly picked it up, thinking it was a personal call. To my dismay though, the voice on the other end seemed familiar, possibly with a South Asian accent. How can I prevent such a caller from reaching my landline? Is there any legal recourse against this individual? He has no right to intrude on the privacy of my home life.

For several months now, this particular phone number has been persistently calling on a nearly daily basis. Some days, they even call twice or, quite unbelievably, three times in a single day. Strangely, they never bother to leave a message. I have made the decision to never answer these calls as they always end up being futile and a waste of time. It would be greatly appreciated if someone in a position of authority could intervene and put an end to these incessant calls.

A bloke with really poor English was asking for a Mrs Osbourne (definitely not me), trying to get me to say yes to them reaching out about cheaper gas and electric deals. I told him I wasn't interested, then he said he wasn't selling anything, just wanted my okay to contact me and hopefully save me some cash later on. I told him again I wasn't interested and he finally gave up. I've blocked the number now.

Try it out: go on the site, put your full name in and you’ll see your current and old addresses, all for free. But if you pay for premium, you can see anyone’s full details like names, addresses, DOB, family members and who knows what else. Honestly, it’s a joke how we have zero privacy nowadays.
