I've received three calls over the course of two days from various numbers, two of which share this area code, alongside one from a mobile. The callers claim to represent BT and insist there are problems with my internet connection. However, we’re on fibre with a different provider, and the account isn't registered in my name. So I'm left wondering why they would even be contacting me!

I received a call on Thursday from someone purporting to be BT, stating they could enhance my sluggish broadband by eliminating a virus from my router – if only it were that simple! When I mentioned I wasn’t around, they suggested a callback at 7am the following Friday. Unfortunately, I just missed their call this morning at 7:40am. What a nuisance!

Seems to be BT, wouldn't you know it! They rang me just after half past seven in the morning. After seeing what others have said, I've put them on my blocked list, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they've got another number ready to spring into action! It’s utterly clear this is a SCAM, particularly since I don’t even have a BT line!

Received a call on a Saturday morning, around half past eight. There was a distinct din of a call centre in the background, but no one bothered to speak. Eventually, they just cut off the line. Quite irksome, to say the least!

I didn't pick up the call after looking up the number first, and I recognised it as one I’ve encountered before. These individuals are absolutely dodgy. I strongly advise against sharing any personal details with them. They’re very likely up to no good and could compromise your information. Best to steer clear!

I received a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming there was an issue with my computer. I responded by pointing out that it seemed she was the one with the real issue. She promptly ended the call.

I had an encounter with a woman of Asian descent who was adamant that BT was my internet provider. She claimed that others were accessing my connection without my consent. When I called her out for what I suspected was a con, she turned rather aggressive and ended the call abruptly.

Received a call early on a Saturday morning, just after 7 o'clock, from someone claiming to represent BT Openreach. He introduced himself as Alan Watson. He insisted that my computer—presumably my laptop too—had been engaging with questionable websites and downloading unsafe content. Quite concerning, to say the least!

I received a call from someone with a thick foreign accent who claimed there were issues with my computer. He insisted that I needed to go online to resolve it. When I told him I’d be reporting him to the authorities, he hung up right away. The call appeared to be from Maidstone.

I tried reaching out to Sky for technical assistance this morning at 7:15, but the women on the line seemed to be rather evasive about connecting me to a proper technician. It feels nearly impossible to get hold of an actual technical advisor, even if I were a Sky customer. It was so frustrating that I eventually just ended the call.
