I received a rather peculiar call from a chap identifying himself as Bill, who rang me on the 29th of January 2018, using the number 1321. He claimed to be affiliated with a double glazing company, and somehow, he seemed to know my name. I was quite taken aback, so I firmly expressed my disinterest and inquired how he had managed to get hold of my number, given that it’s ex-directory. His response was rather convenient-he asserted that one of his colleagues had popped round to my place and I had apparently given my number. I assured him that this was entirely untrue, instructed him not to bother me again, and promptly ended the conversation.
