I received an unsolicited call from a utility broker purporting to have connections with a council in Kent, which is rather puzzling considering I reside in Shropshire, a good couple of hundred miles away! They were asking for details regarding my utility agreements. I refrained from sharing any personal information. The caller seemed pleasant enough, yet the whole situation struck me as rather strange - why would a council so far away have any interest in me? Could this be a potential scam?
