Got a ring from this number, they said they were carrying out a local survey and said they worked for a security company. Asked if I owned the place, said I fitted their criteria and then hung up - seemed like they were just fishing for leads to keep cold calling. Would recommend steering clear.

Someone called saying they was from an electric firm. They already had my name, address and even my unlisted number. They tried to offer a free safety inspection for the electrics but said it was only for the property owner. Since I don’t own the place, they just hung up straight away.

Since it came so soon after that dodgy text, I got suspicious they might have sold my details.
