Got a call from BT pretty early, like 7:56 am on a Monday - and being retired, I actually got worried something bad had happened with family. Turns out they were just asking how we felt about the BT landline service. I reckon it's part of their plan to push everyone onto VOIP. Trouble is, if the power cuts out or the wifi's down, you can't use the phone at all, which isn’t great.
