i got a voicemail that said it was from bt, warning me that my internet had been breached and my online banking wasn't safe anymore. it asked me to press 1 to connect with bt directly. i just hung up and called my bank instead, and they said i did the right thing since it seemed like a scam. normally i don’t pick up calls from unknown numbers, but this one had a local area code so i answered.
