Got a ring from this number the other day, but when I picked up, there was just silence on the other end.

Picked up and then just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent claiming to be from BT, saying my broadband and IP were being used for all sorts of dodgy stuff like fraud, drugs, even worse. Instantly smelled a scam. These people usually want you to install weird software or give them info. I’ve had a few of these calls before, so I like to waste their time. I kept him on the line for over nine minutes, having a laugh, then told him I was messing about. He then swore at me and hung up. Typical scam attempt!
