Heads up... I got a call from this number 0161 8645240 earlier. The person said they were from BT and claimed there was an issue with my internet. Thing is, I’m not even with BT and my details are unlisted. When I asked some questions, the caller just dropped the call straight away. I've let BT know about it now. Sounds like a classic scam trying to snag your bank info!

I reckon these scumbags are faking their location by showing a made-up number, like an 0161 code, to make you think they’re ringing from Manchester. Loads of dodgy call centres and nasty debt collectors do this trick so you’re more likely to pick up. It’s such a sneaky way to trick people. Best just ignore ’em, honestly.
