Got another call from someone blatantly disregarding the telephone preference rules, which barely seem to mean anything nowadays. Lucky for me, my thumb accidentally hit the end call button pretty quick and I managed to hang up on them.

I wasn’t sure who called me as I didn’t answer. From what I’ve read here, I’m relieved I didn’t pick up and have now blocked the caller. Apparently, some businesses trade lists of folks and their numbers, so that must be how they found mine.

Got a call from someone claiming they were with the lottery but I was pretty sure it was a scam. I asked a few questions and they just hung up on me. Shortly after, I got another call from 02045373193 with a similar story. Told them both to buzz off. Both callers had an accent that sounded Asian. It's weird how they knew my name and number, even though they kept stumbling over how to say my name right.

I asked if she was hard of hearing, she said no. Jokingly told her she should get her hearing checked at Specsavers since they do free tests. Then I said goodbye and ended the call. Number’s blocked now.

Got a call earlier today, it showed a 0161 number so I picked up since that’s a Manchester area code. The voice on the other end sounded familiar from some other annoying calls I’ve had before. I quickly told them they’d got the wrong number and hung up. Thankfully my phone has a setting that flags possible scam calls, so at least I was warned.
