Got a call from someone saying they were from O2, saying my account was blocked and trying to freak me out, then oddly offered 30% off. I ended up hanging up, but they kept ringing back nonstop. I’ve just blocked the number now. There were a bunch of obvious signs it was a scam.

The number popped up on my caller ID with no company name, just showing Manchester, UK, but I'm not sure if that was genuine or just VoIP messing with the location. A lady spoke with an Indian accent claiming to be from O2, but I ended up hanging up as it smelt like another one of those spam calls - I get loads from people pretending to be O2 these days. I checked the O2 site for this number and it wasn’t listed there at all. I'm going to label it as "unknown" because, to be fair, there’s a slim chance it might have been a clumsy attempt from O2 themselves.
