One quiet evening, I stupidly signed up for some Tesco voucher draw. It wasn’t until after I’d entered that I got a text saying I’d be charged £4.50 weekly from then on. I rushed to text STOP but it was already too late. O2 then told me they’d taken the £4.50 from my account. It’s beyond me why these dodgy companies get to slap extra charges on my O2 bill. I reached out to EE, and they confirmed that while I would indeed be charged, they can block any future payments from my account. They also advised me to contact the service provider directly, but it's just an automated response line that supposedly helps you unsubscribe from their offerings.
