Some bloke rang up asking for my missus about her life insurance. He seemed a bit confused about the name Alleyn, asking if it was a man or woman's name. When I told him it was me (which it wasn’t), he said he could assist. I told him straight up he was just trying to drum up business. Honestly, I could’ve called him out for fibbing since he must have known she doesn’t have any life insurance. It’s mad how these lot can get away with making cold calls and telling such obvious porkies.
