Some bloke called claiming to be from a place called Credit Fix, said he could sort out my debts by giving me a loan, then wrote it off through an IVA. Brilliant plan, eh? Instead of going to my actual bank, I'll take a loan from some random weirdo ringing me late on a Thursday, calling me 'mate' all the time! What world do these muppets live in? He finally hung up cuz I wouldn't stop laughing.

He claimed I owed him money, but when I asked him some questions, he suddenly said I seemed friendly and wanted to be mates. Then out of nowhere, he added me on Whatsapp, commented on my profile picture and asked if I was single! I told him that was a weird question, and he said if I replied on Whatsapp he’d tell me everything. Should I report it to the police? I’ve recorded the whole thing!

I asked the bloke which company he was from since im on the do not call list, and he just started cursing in Punjabi. Blocked the number after that, but noticed hes called back about 4 times in the past 10 minutes.

I taped the call and played along, proper hilarious stuff here. I'd honestly tell everyone to try it out. Just mess around with them and record the whole thing. I’m thinking of making a subreddit for this and will drop the link here soon. Use up their time however you can, the bloke claimed his name was Gary Oldman, lol. Then he said I was being abusive and threatened to call the cops before calling me a madrechode, couldn’t stop laughing!

Sounds like some kind of Indian/Pakistani gang operation, I could hear others talking in the background. Stay well away from these con artists!

Got a phone call earlier from a guy with an Indian accent, said he was from some government-backed organisation, but I didn’t catch the name right. He was going on about a government plan to help people clear debts, saying you could be debt free in a year or something. When I tried to ask him questions, he started chatting quietly with someone else in his language, chuckling away instead of answering me. So, I just ended the call.

As someone with disabilities, I’ve been receiving incessant calls from this number, often two or three times daily. Each time I refuse to give out any personal information or confirm my identity, they seem to ask for various individuals-none of whom are me. This morning at 11:09, I answered, and the chap on the other end just shouted, “F**k off, you bloody cow,” in a noticeable Indian accent before abruptly disconnecting. Now, at just 11:20, the same number has tried to reach me twice again! It appears I’m in for a rather unpleasant day. If only I could figure out who these people are!

Just got a call from 01619745586, some bloke asking for my partner. When I asked where he was ringing from, he mumbled 'CCJ'. I asked again and he said 'county court judgement'. I said you’ve dialled my number, what’s this all about? He hung up straight away. Definitely an Indian guy with a thick accent. Tried calling back, and all I got was a robotic 'goodbye'. Total idiots. Don’t give them any info. Nobody legit calls about CCJ like that, haha.

This number rang me several times today, saying they were from CaB and claimed they had my details and knew I was in debt. I told the guy (had a strong Indian accent) that I wasn’t interested in their services and ended the call. They called again, so I warned that I’d report them for harassment if they kept ringing. Then the guy threatened to stop my govt benefits and freeze any cash I had. I just hung up and reported the whole thing to actionfraud straight away.

Got a call from someone pretending to be the Citizens Advice Bureau, asking for a name that was similar but not quite mine. I ended the call and blocked the number, yet they called me a few more times after that. Today I ignored the calls, but they tried ringing five times before giving up. Blocking doesn’t seem to be doing the trick.

I got a call from them like 2 minutes ago saying I owed £5000 in unsecured debt. I told them I don’t. They sounded really rude and wouldn’t say who exactly they were, just some "credit investigation dept." They tried to get me to admit it and asked for my full name. When I asked for a manager, the guy got all snarky and then put me through to another person with bad English too. Honestly, I’m fuming at how they treated me, I’m actually shaking right now!!!

Received a call from this number earlier from a bloke named Gary, sounded like he had a strong Indian accent. He said he was from Citizens Advice and was ringing about bailiffs turning up at my house on Saturday because of unpaid loans. When I asked where the bailiffs were from, he just said it was for the money I owed. He also warned me that if I stayed rude, they’d come round tomorrow instead. The worrying bit was he actually knew my address. I ended the call pretty quickly and reported it to Action Fraud. The guy came across as really pushy and aggressive.

some bloke said he was from a debt collector, but his english was so bad i could hardly catch what he was saying. he asked for me by name, which i said yes to, then kept going on about some unpaid unsecured loans i supposedly owed. i stopped him and said if that was real (which it’s not), he’d have my address and could send me a letter. then i just hung up and blocked the number.

The first time I told the bloke it was nonsense since I don’t owe any money and he told me to bugger off. Got another dodgy call, bout the 8th from the same place today. I’ve blocked about 30 different numbers that keep popping up from this one call centre. Some bloke called himself "Edward Vincent Smith" with a sketchy accent, already knew my name, address and postcode. He tried asking for my bank info saying it’s for a tax refund. Told him where to go and blocked yet another number.

Someone with an Indian accent rang up, pretending to be from the bailiffs. At first, they said they could slash my debts to lenders by half, but then switched to saying the creditors had reported I wasn’t repaying loans I supposedly took. I asked which creditors had said that and they named three companies I’ve never dealt with. When I pointed that out, they asked for more info from me - total nonsense. Managed to waste about four minutes of their time, which feels like a tiny victory. Also, I’ve reported them to the fraud action helpline.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be a bailiff for a debt owed to Barclays. I told them it was complete nonsense. Then they said it wouldn’t be nonsense when they came to take my belongings, calling me a bloody idiot. Proper rude. Makes you think how awful it must be for vulnerable people having to deal with that kind of abuse.
