I received a rather dubious call from someone claiming to be associated with my electricity provider, Opus. They insisted that my contract was nearing its end and that they had a superior offer. However, when I asked for specifics regarding the rates so I could make an informed comparison with other providers, she became rather defensive and abrupt. She boasted about her long-standing relationship with my account, guaranteeing that she wouldn’t lead me astray.
But what a load of nonsense! This caller was not linked to Opus at all, and the offer she presented was inferior to my current arrangement. To top it off, my contract doesn't expire for another couple of years!
This is clearly a SCAM orchestrated by total SHYSTERS.
I have a particular disdain for individuals who attempt to deceive vulnerable members of the community over the phone; they're even lower than petty thieves.

Over the years, I've had loads of calls from Ecosave in Manchester, claiming they're from Eon. They keep ringing up trying to drum up business. Quite annoying really.

I've had loads of calls coming from numbers almost exactly the same, claiming to be from some energy renewal firm. I never pick up, and honestly, it's probably better to just steer clear!
