A bloke called Daniel gave me a ring about boilers. I asked if he’d checked my number against the TPS. He didn’t even know what the TPS was, so I told him he was breaking the rules by ringing me and that I’d be reporting him. Proper unpleasant guy.

Picked up the phone and they claimed to be from ECO. Asked if I owned a boiler? I wanted to know how they got my telephone number in the first place. Then I requested his name. He said Daniel - never met an Indian called Daniel before! Asked him for his contact number since I'm signed up with the TPS. He tried giving me an 0121 number, which definitely wasn't the one that appeared on my mobile. Told him I'd report the real number to TPS and hung up.

My 15 year old daughter was the one who picked up the phone at school and when she said she wasn’t interested in a boiler, the bloke told her “you’re dead, you’re dead”. How is it the bloody police don’t just come and nick this w#nker?

Got a call from Nathan at NN LTD about some free government boiler programme. I told him it was a business line and asked him to take the number off their list. Then he just hung up on me! Proper rude. Blocked the number straight away.

I found the whole exchange rather unpleasant, to be honest. When I requested him to reveal where my phone number was sourced from, his response was abruptly defensive. I then inquired about the company responsible, and he snapped back, insisting he wouldn't entertain my queries. It felt as though he was attempting to twist the situation, making me out to be the one in the wrong. Quite a brash attitude, if you ask me.

Got a call from an unfamiliar international number. Since I'm unlisted and registered with the TPS, I just let it ring till it went to voicemail. Nothing was left in the message, so I reckon it was just some random caller with no real reason to be contacting me.

It's frustrating, isn't it? You pick up the phone, only for the call to disconnect. Attempting to call them back is equally infuriating, as you're left hanging on the line with no response. I found myself waiting for a staggering seven minutes, and even tried again for five and eleven minutes without any luck! What a waste of time!

When I told them how we keep warm was none of their concern, they just ended the call. I rang back the number but it just says to wait for the next agent and doesn’t connect. Not sure about the other numbers, but this is the fourth time ive had calls like this in a few days.

Just about an hour ago someone called asking if we heat with gas or oil, I told em gas isn't an option round here. He goes, "Oh so you’ve got oil then." I told him to try wood burners instead and he just kinda dropped it after that. Honestly, he seemed a bit worse for wear!
