I asked where they found my number but they wouldn't say a word. When I told them to remove me from their list, all I got was "I'm Taliban, we bomb your house" followed by some laughing. I just hung up. It sounded like one of those massive call centres buzzing away.

It's not the exact same number, but I've had three calls from them over the past few days - calling themselves Trusted Refunds. It's starting to make me a bit uneasy. I never shared any personal info, yet they already had my name and address. The call was from 0203 634 2977, which seems like a massive call centre judging by the noise in the background. When I declined to provide more info, some rude, quite unprofessional young woman claimed to be the supervisor, listened for about 10 seconds, then just hung up on me.

trusted refunds called me today claiming they were linked to some major banks (which is rubbish) and said i had ppi owed to me, supposedly from info they got from my bank (which can't be true, that would break data protection laws). when i asked if they were legit, they dialled my bank's phone service and said they'd sort my claim directly with them. i called my bank on a separate line at the same time, and once they noticed i was checking, they ended the call straight away. i didn't share any details but was shocked at how bold their phone tactics were. best to just hang up if they ring you!

I am receiving 2 to 3 calls every day, and this has been going on for the past few months. Whenever I answer the phone, there is always background noise of an office or workplace, but the person on the other end of the line never speaks. I continuously greet them with a "HELLO!" but eventually, they hang up. This has truly become tiresome and incredibly frustrating for me. I am now 50 years old and had a stroke 5 and a half years ago. On top of these silent calls, I also receive numerous similar calls from different numbers. Given my poor health, I really could do without all this nonsense! It is bewildering that these individuals have nothing better to do with their time.
