I asked where they found my number but they wouldn't say a word. When I told them to remove me from their list, all I got was "I'm Taliban, we bomb your house" followed by some laughing. I just hung up. It sounded like one of those massive call centres buzzing away.

It's not the exact same number, but I've had three calls from them over the past few days - calling themselves Trusted Refunds. It's starting to make me a bit uneasy. I never shared any personal info, yet they already had my name and address. The call was from 0203 634 2977, which seems like a massive call centre judging by the noise in the background. When I declined to provide more info, some rude, quite unprofessional young woman claimed to be the supervisor, listened for about 10 seconds, then just hung up on me.

I picked up but the line just went silent straight away - didn’t bother ringing them back. Looks like another one of those scam numbers checking if you’re there to hit up later. Number was 01619740630.

This number has been calling me on and off for a few months now. Every time I pick up, they either just drop the call, ask if I'm a certain person, or tell me it’s not a sales call. this number keeps ringing me non-stop, like every couple days or so. they’re always those annoying ppi calls i never asked for. really wish they’d track these people down and get them locked up.

trusted refunds called me today claiming they were linked to some major banks (which is rubbish) and said i had ppi owed to me, supposedly from info they got from my bank (which can't be true, that would break data protection laws). when i asked if they were legit, they dialled my bank's phone service and said they'd sort my claim directly with them. i called my bank on a separate line at the same time, and once they noticed i was checking, they ended the call straight away. i didn't share any details but was shocked at how bold their phone tactics were. best to just hang up if they ring you!

I got a call from a very rude lady claiming I had unclaimed PPI. I kept telling her I didn’t but she just wouldn’t listen. When I asked to speak to her manager, she completely ignored me and carried on pestering me until I had to end the call.

I keep getting called 2 or 3 times every single day, and this has been happening for months now! Whenever I pick up, no one actually talks - just loads of background office noise. I shout "HELLO!" loads of times but they just hang up after a bit. It’s really getting on my nerves. I’m 50 and had a stroke about five and a half years ago, so with my health being how it is, I really don’t need this kind of hassle. Plus, I get loads of similar calls from different numbers too. Honestly, what are these people even doing with their time?! It’s so frustrating!

Today I got a call from this number, and the person asked for a bloke who definitely doesn’t live here. I told him straight up there’s no one by that name at this address. Then he started going on about how I might have unclaimed money from PPI insurance through my bank and wanted to ask me a few questions. I told him I was in a hurry, rushing to leave, which was true. But he didn’t seem to get why I couldn’t spare just a couple of minutes. I repeated that I was really busy, yet he carried on chatting. Eventually, I had to end the call quickly or I’d have missed my bus.

Got a ring on my mobile, seemed like one of those PPI calls. They claimed they weren't selling anything, but the moment I asked about the 40% charge, they just went quiet. When I asked if they were signed up to the TPS, they said yes. So I asked, 'Then why on earth are you calling me?' and the line just went dead.

Then he put me through to a woman who checked if I had any money owed to me. I hung on for a couple minutes.
