Received a call this afternoon from a company claiming to be TCF, which I gather stands for Treating Customers Fairly. They mentioned it was regarding a loan application we submitted online not long ago. They cautioned us against paying any upfront fees to brokers when approached by such callers, as it could be a scam. They assured us that they could assist in recovering any funds we may have already paid. Apparently, the call was to follow up because our application had been successful.
