So, today I got a call from a bloke named John, using that number, asking me odd stuff about my loans and who I’m borrowing from. He claimed it was needed so my conveyancer could get in touch. He wanted the name of my lender, how many loans I have, and some other bits. I did have a missed call from my conveyancer earlier, so I thought it might be connected, but nah, it was a proper scam.

I got a call from this number saying they were reaching out for my conveyancer and that they worked at Equifax. They began with some security questions, but then randomly asked which phone provider I’m with and what type of credit cards I hold. I said it sounded more like a market survey and that I’d double check with my conveyancer first. After hanging up, I looked them up here and saw loads of people complaining about the same thing!
