They rang and left a voicemail that's just a bunch of beeps for about 4 minutes, so I've gone ahead and blocked the number.

I asked the bloke where he got my number from and he said it was off old PPI claims. But then he goes on asking if I’ve got any PPI claims, which sounds like total rubbish to me.

At one point, she even questioned whether I was unaware of my own financial situation! I ended the call, but she had the audacity to ring back, wanting to know my reason for hanging up. What a nuisance! Any further attempts to contact me from this number will be seen as pestering, and I’ll make sure to make some noise down the line, as it's nothing short of harassment!

Just had a call on my mobile from this number roughly a quarter of an hour ago. I decided to pick up but played it rather coy, not giving much away. The fella on the other end kept repeating "Hello" before abruptly disconnecting the line. I could make out that it was a call centre due to the chatter in the background. I've now gone ahead and blocked this number using my app!

Somebody rang claiming to be from 'The PPI Team' and when I asked what company they were from, they just said it didn’t matter. I told them I wasn’t interested but they kept pushing really aggressively. When I finally told them to take my number off their list, the caller snapped back with "How dumb are you? F##k off" and then just cut the call.

This morning, I received a missed call from 016196224999 on my mobile. I didn’t pick up as I didn’t recognise the number and wasn’t anticipating any calls from that sort of number. Just five minutes later, they called me again from the same number, obviously trying to push a cold call. So, I decided to answer this time, only to find it was a chap from a PPI company. He was adamant that I should confirm some personal information, including my address, to supposedly help me reclaim a significant amount of money. I inquired how he had come by my number, but he dismissed my question, claiming it wasn’t important. Rather, he insisted that I had a right to a considerable payout if I could just verify my details with him over the phone. This dragged on for well over five minutes, and I could tell he was getting increasingly annoyed as I played for time and refused to divulge any of my information-neither my name nor even the number he was dialling. Eventually, realising this was nothing but a scam and borderline harassment, I told him to cease calling this number immediately and to remove it from his database altogether, as he was in violation of the law. I warned him that if he continued, I would take it up with the proper authorities! At that moment, he abruptly hung up, not before hurling some quite rude and unpleasant expletives my way. - Caller: Unknown

I've been inundated with calls from this number repeatedly. A mate suggested a brilliant trick: save the number in your contacts as "SPAM". That way, if they ring again, you’ll instantly recognise it and avoid answering. Genius, right?

Completely unsolicited and downright arrogant! It's high time the government took measures to outlaw all forms of cold calling and automated dialling. The lack of courtesy is infuriating!

Received a rather unwarranted cold call. The person on the other end was quite abrupt and rather snarky. When I inquired about the reason for their call, their response was a rather patronising, “I've just explained, are you not paying attention?” At that point, I decided it was best to end the conversation.

These persistent callers continue to bother our daughters, aged 13 and 16, no matter how many times my husband and I have pointed out their ages. It’s incredibly frustrating! A gentleman rang me around 3 p.m. on the 27th of November, 2012, and it felt rather like I was being grilled by the police about my finances. He accused me of being inconsistent in my answers and claimed that he hadn't brought up PPI during our initial conversation. I couldn't help but ask him if I was facing legal proceedings!

I'm constantly being bombarded with annoying phone calls about PPI claims, despite the fact that I don't even have any. I've explicitly requested that they stop contacting me, but it seems my wishes have fallen on deaf ears.

I've got my number on the Telephone Preference Service list, yet this company keeps on ringing me up. I've made it quite clear that I wish for them to stop calling, but they don’t seem to listen!

I'm forever haunted by this bunch! They claim they're ringing me because I've requested it, which is utter rubbish. Whenever I tell them to stop contacting me, they just become defensive and flippant. Honestly, if you're considering a PPI inquiry, steer clear of these clowns and just approach your bank directly-it won’t cost you a penny.
