Today, I got a phone call where the caller just kept saying hello over and over again.

I do shift work so getting woken by these morons trying to sell me a "cheaper" funeral plan was not what I needed. I said straight up, I’m not ready to croak yet. Then one of them has the nerve to say we’re all gonna die anyway! Yeah, cheers mate, but maybe I’ll check out sooner if you don’t stop ringin me!

I received a rather unsettling call from a company that the woman on the line referred to as "Victoria Funeral and Future Planning". Despite my attempts to locate them online, I've had no luck finding any information. However, I strongly advise you to disregard any communications from the number 0161 939 7225! The young lady rambled on for ages before asking me if I had made any plans. I countered with, "Not at all, but am I being recorded at this moment?" She assured me I wasn't. So, I warned her that if I uncovered how she obtained my number, I would take legal action, as I felt harassed after six contacts in just five days. Quite astonishingly, she simply apologized before I anticipated a more extensive conversation and hung up. It’s best to avoid picking up calls from them altogether; they seem quite desperate for cash. - caller: Victoria Funeral Planning

This number keeps ringing me up saying they can help with PPI that was missold. Don’t believe it, total waste of time and just a bunch of clueless idiots!

These scammers are just after people who will fall for their nonsense. They’re dodgy and once they spot someone, they start asking for personal info or bank card details, saying it’s for some kind of refund. Next thing you know, they’re running off with your money or using your details for identity theft. Clearly, you got targeted because you fit their scam criteria. This firm, Digital Mail Ltd, really needs to be shut down. Is there no way to put an end to these annoying calls?

Just a heads up to everyone - these scammers keep calling my work phone from loads of different numbers like 0161 939 0075, 0161 939 0225, 0161 939 0228, 0161 939 0335, and 0161 939 0442. After lots of people started ignoring calls from 0161 939 0225, Digital Mail seem to have given this cold calling company a new number, 0161 939 7225, to keep bothering us. If you're fed up too, maybe give Digital Mail a ring on 020 7060 2000 and return the favour!

It's utterly scandalous how these con artists prey on the unsuspecting, luring them in with false promises. They’re nothing more than common fraudsters who, once they’ve identified a target, will demand personal information or banking details under the guise of processing a refund. This paves the way for them to commit identity theft or drain your accounts. Clearly, you were just another victim in their misguided search for easy money. This shady outfit, Digital Mail Ltd, ought to be shut down immediately. Can't we find a way to put a stop to these harassing calls? They continually deny any responsibility for the calls, but what protection do we as consumers have against such nonsense? I receive an avalanche of these calls daily; the automated messages persist even after I hang up, rendering it impossible for me to make outgoing calls or for anyone to reach me until the line clears. It's affecting my business severely-yet these crooks can carry on without facing any consequences. I just don't grasp why there isn't a law in place to prevent companies like Digital Mail from spoofing landlines in the UK to mislead people into thinking they're legitimate local calls, as highlighted in http://notes.dmclub.net/1094 regarding how to spoof dmClub numbers (the alias for Digital Mail Ltd). The directors of this company should face heavy fines and be barred from operating as a telecommunications entity in the UK, as they continue to act as if the calls aren’t originating from their end. They're raking in profits at our expense, and these renowned scammers have been using the same numbers for ages. Despite being aware of the situation, the company seems disinterested in rectifying the issue prioritising the establishment of a reputable phone network similar to BT. To all concerned, these fraudsters have been ringing my business line from various numbers, including 0161 939 0075, 0161 939 0225, 0161 939 0228, 0161 939 0335, and 0161 939 0442. As more individuals start to ignore such calls, Digital Mail simply hands over a new number-like 0161 939 7225- to continue their harassment. So I urge you all to return the favour and give Digital Mail a ring at 020 7060 2000. They'll hear your frustrations loud and clear!

The phone number in question is registered to Digital Mail Ltd, located at 6 Osborn Street, London E1 6TD. While they're not the ones directly placing these calls, they are certainly benefiting from their clients' actions, which can be quite bothersome for the rest of us. It might be worth your while to kindly let them know how you feel: you can reach them at t: 020 7060 2000 or via email at [email protected] - keep in mind, this is indeed a call from Digital Mail Ltd.

I've gotten more than 40 calls from them and finally answered once just to see what they’re on about. They’re pushing hard for you to apply for PPI and won’t back down if you say no. Honestly, just let them chatter away till they lose interest, or even easier, just block the caller.

This number keeps ringing me about PPI claims. I told them already sorted it out straight with the banks so I wouldn’t get charged any fees. Asked them to take me off their list but they still keep calling. What a bunch of muppets.

I constantly receive calls on my mobile, but I usually refrain from answering if I don't recognize the number. These callers never leave a voicemail, and now that I am aware they're nuisance callers, I plan to block their number. However, I was wondering if there is an email address or a way to report them to the police?

In the last three days, I’ve had the misfortune of receiving a couple of calls from this particular number on my mobile. Strangely, when I attempted to return the call, the line doesn’t even ring, and there’s definitely no one on the other end to respond. It’s quite bothersome and I believe this should be flagged with Ofcom to address this persistent nuisance. I reckon action needs to be taken against those who are peddling this number. - Caller: Unknown

It is evident that there are hoaxers out there, particularly aggressive individuals operating from South Africa who falsely claim to possess knowledge about your personal information. However, when questioned about their sources, they conveniently invoke data protection to avoid providing any concrete details. Their intentions are clearly malicious; therefore, it is crucial that you refrain from disclosing any information to them or engaging in lengthy conversations.

I received a call regarding my PPI, during which the woman on the line claimed, "We've been attempting to get in touch with you for a while because you might be able to reclaim some money related to past PPI." I requested that they remove my number from their records, expressing my frustration at their interruptions. To my dismay, the rather abrasive lady responded, "I'm not wasting anyone's time, and you will hear from us again," before abruptly hanging up. It's truly appalling how companies allow such impolite behaviour to flourish, especially when their staff disregard simple requests to be removed from their lists. - caller: Unknown

I keep receiving calls on both my mobile and landline phones. Since I am busy working all day, I cannot answer them. Furthermore, the caller never leaves a message on my voicemail or answering machine. Whenever I attempt to call back and find out their identity, the call abruptly ends after just one ring. I'm puzzled as to how they obtained my numbers, considering I am supposed to be unlisted. Is there anyone who can help me effectively deal with these unwanted calls?

I got a call selling a funeral plan, which was a bit odd since I'm hardly thinking about that right now. The worrying thing is they already knew my name. The person on the phone was annoyingly overly friendly too, kept calling me "love" all the time.

Quite peculiar, indeed. A telephone number from Manchester associated with an address in South Africa doesn't quite align. Their provided address states 37 Island Circle, Office Park, Suite 101, located in River Hearts Valley in the Durban region of South Africa. However, something doesn't seem right, given the association with a Manchester telephone number.

Today, I got a call on my mobile, and it seemed like they had loads of my info, which really creeped me out. Because it was a call from a landline to my mobile, I kept the bloke talking for more than 8 minutes, hoping to rack up a big bill for them. He was so stuck to his script, going on about how I was owed money from old loans and could claim it back without paying. Eventually, I told him off for calling me "love" and then he hung up. I've already signed up my number with the phone preference service, so these calls annoy me to bits! Next time, I'm just gonna ignore them.

Received yet another call from them today. It seems to be a recurring nuisance now, much like all those other pests incessantly bothering folks with their calls. They don’t take kindly to being told to shove off, yet they’re quick to hang up as soon as they figure you won’t be of any use to them. All they’re interested in is collecting data to pass on to others, particularly pension firms. It’s quite shameful for any financial consultant who falls for this nonsense-it's detrimental to the entire trade! I recommend leading them on a bit; imply that you’ve got a massive pension fund and waste their time for as long as you can!

I continuously receive calls on my mobile phone at around midday, despite adding them to my reject call list. I never consented to receiving sales calls, and the only time I shared my name and mobile number was for an ITV competition entry by post. I have lodged a complaint with the company, as I did not give them permission to share my details. Within a span of three weeks, I have received 38 spam texts and phone calls without authorization. I have reported all of them to my phone provider (forwarding the texts to 7726) and filed a complaint with the ICO, both of which investigate and aim to prevent these unsolicited calls. Hopefully, they will take action!

I've received calls from this number on Thursday, the 15th of October, again on Saturday the 17th, and just today, Monday the 19th at half three in the afternoon. Every time I pick up, all I get is silence or it cuts out immediately. It feels like it’s either a rogue automated call or someone playing a prank. Not long ago, I lodged a complaint with a marketing firm concerning how they obtained my mobile number and who authorised its use. Ever since that episode, my phone’s been ringing with all sorts of bizarre calls. Quite the nuisance, if you ask me!

I made the foolish decision of completing a survey in an attempt to earn some extra money. Regrettably, I realized my mistake before reaching the end of the survey, where I indicated that I did not wish to receive any phone calls from anyone. Despite this, I have been receiving unwanted text messages regarding approved loans and phone calls from the British Heart Foundation, as well as unfamiliar individuals. Although it doesn't bother me greatly since I rarely use this particular phone, it is worth mentioning that I only provide this number to temporary contacts such as builders, as I am currently having renovations done. Previously, I had believed that the survey company was reputable; evidently, this assumption was incorrect.
