Today, I got a phone call where the caller just kept saying hello over and over again.

Everytime I answer, there’s nobody on the line. I end up swearing at them, hoping they’re actually recording it! Then I go and block the number.

I got a call from a woman claiming to be from "Victoria Funeral/Future Planning" or something like that, but I couldn't find any info about the company online. The number was 0161 939 7225 - best just to ignore it! This woman went on and on for a few mins, then asked if I'd made any plans yet. I said no, and then asked if she was recording the call. She said no, so I warned her that if I found out how she got my number, I'd take legal action since she'd now hassled me six times in five days. She just said "sorry but..." and I knew I wasn't gonna get anywhere, so I hung up. Honestly, don't pick up if you see that number - obviously just trying to scam people out of money. Caller ID showed "Victoria Funeral Planning."

This number keeps ringing me up saying they can help with PPI that was missold. Don’t believe it, total waste of time and just a bunch of clueless idiots!

They continually deny any responsibility for the calls, but what protection do we as consumers have against such nonsense? I receive an avalanche of these calls daily; the automated messages persist even after I hang up, rendering it impossible for me to make outgoing calls or for anyone to reach me until the line clears. It's affecting my business severely-yet these crooks can carry on without facing any consequences. I just don't grasp why there isn't a law in place to prevent companies like Digital Mail from spoofing landlines in the UK to mislead people into thinking they're legitimate local calls, as highlighted in http://notes.dmclub.net/1094 regarding how to spoof dmClub numbers (the alias for Digital Mail Ltd). The directors of this company should face heavy fines and be barred from operating as a telecommunications entity in the UK, as they continue to act as if the calls aren’t originating from their end. They're raking in profits at our expense, and these renowned scammers have been using the same numbers for ages. Despite being aware of the situation, the company seems disinterested in rectifying the issue prioritising the establishment of a reputable phone network similar to BT. To all concerned, these fraudsters have been ringing my business line from various numbers, including 0161 939 0075, 0161 939 0225, 0161 939 0228, 0161 939 0335, and 0161 939 0442. As more individuals start to ignore such calls, Digital Mail simply hands over a new number-like 0161 939 7225- to continue their harassment. So I urge you all to return the favour and give Digital Mail a ring at 020 7060 2000. They'll hear your frustrations loud and clear!

Got a call from someone linked to Digital Mail Ltd at 6 Osborn Street, London E1 6TD. They might not be the ones ringing us up, but they're definitely cashing in on their clients annoying us. Might be worth giving them a ring or dropping a polite message to let them know how it feels: phone 020 7060 2000, email [email protected] - caller ID shows Digital Mail Ltd.

I've gotten more than 40 calls from them and finally answered once just to see what they’re on about. They’re pushing hard for you to apply for PPI and won’t back down if you say no. Honestly, just let them chatter away till they lose interest, or even easier, just block the caller.

This number keeps ringing me about PPI claims. I told them already sorted it out straight with the banks so I wouldn’t get charged any fees. Asked them to take me off their list but they still keep calling. What a bunch of muppets.

This number has called me twice over the last few days. Whenever I try to ring back, the phone just doesn’t ring through and nobody picks up. It’s really annoying and I think it should be reported to Ofcom. The company that provides this number should do something to stop these pointless calls. Caller ID comes up as Unknown.

Got a call on my mobile from this number on 15th November 2020. Just like others have said, I tried calling back but it just went silent. I’ve now added it to my block list.

Totally scammers these guys - they ring up real pushy, acting like they’ve got your info, but as soon as you ask them what exactly, they suddenly hide behind data protection rules. Honestly, it’s just a trick to get you to spill something. Don’t bother giving them anything or arguing with them!

Got a call about some supposed PPI claim, saying they've been trying to reach me for ages because I might be owed money. I told them to take me off their list and stop bothering me. I’ve been getting calls on both my landline and mobile constantly. Since I'm stuck at work during the day, I never manage to pick up. They never leave a voicemail or any message on my answer machine. When I try calling them back, it just rings once and then drops. I’m not sure how they got hold of my number since I thought I was unlisted. Has anyone got any ideas on how to stop these annoying calls?

I got a call selling a funeral plan, which was a bit odd since I'm hardly thinking about that right now. The worrying thing is they already knew my name. The person on the phone was annoyingly overly friendly too, kept calling me "love" all the time.

They gave me this address: Suite 101, Office Park, 37 Island Circle, River Hearts Valley, Durban, South Africa... bit strange, considering the phone number starts with Manchester’s code!

Today, I got a call on my mobile, and it seemed like they had loads of my info, which really creeped me out. Because it was a call from a landline to my mobile, I kept the bloke talking for more than 8 minutes, hoping to rack up a big bill for them. He was so stuck to his script, going on about how I was owed money from old loans and could claim it back without paying. Eventually, I told him off for calling me "love" and then he hung up. I've already signed up my number with the phone preference service, so these calls annoy me to bits! Next time, I'm just gonna ignore them.

Pretend you’ve got a massive pension pot and keep them chatting for ages, waste their time instead!

But beware, once you click or tick that box, you’re basically giving pals like sister or partner companies permission too. Honestly, it should be against the law unless you actively opt in, and there should be strict hours on when they’re allowed to contact you.

I keep getting calls from this funeral plan company. The person on the other end sounds like they're not really bothered about how I feel. They just keep ringing over and over until I pick up, which is pretty annoying.

I’ve had this number call me a few times recently - once on Thursday 15th October, again on Saturday 17th, and just now on Monday 19th around half three in the afternoon. Every time I pick up, the line just goes dead or it seems like some glitchy robot dialling. A short while back, I raised a complaint with a marketing firm about how they even got hold of my mobile number and who okayed them using it. Ever since, the calls have been pretty strange and a bit annoying.

I tried ringing 0161 939 7225 back, but there’s just silence on the line. It’s really frustrating because my phone shows it’s from Manchester, and I do get proper work calls from there sometimes. I’ve saved the number in my phone now, so if it pops up again, I know straight away it’s that irritating caller.

I keep getting calls from this number/company even though ive told them a couple of times to take me off their list since I’m registered on a no call list or something like that. Its really getting on my nerves especially as I’m disabled and dealing with serious health issues. They claim to be called ‘First Call’ but once a guy on the phone mentioned something about ‘First Call Funeral’ which was quite odd.

I attempted to get in touch several times, but they hung up each time and refused to acknowledge my return calls. It feels like they're disregarding all the telecommunication regulations!

These folks just won't take a hint! Even after you tell them you're not interested, they keep pestering you. It’s as if they’ve got their fingers in every pie-marketing, selling PPI, you name it. I’d describe them as either rather obstinate or perhaps a bit dim!
