They won't stop ringing me!! Seriously, how do I make them stop??

Got a call again, maybe the fifth time now. I was nice at first since I didn’t know who was calling, but when I realised it was some sales pitch, I asked them to take me off their list. The bloke replied with “No love, can’t do that” and then just hung up on me. I’ve blocked the number straight away after that!

Got a call from a woman using this number. She didn't say who she was or what company she was from, just launched straight into the PPI spiel. When I told her I know people in that line of work already and don't need assistance, she just cut me off immediately. Honestly, that sort of attitude on the phone makes it feel like a scam to me.

Got a call and picked up thinking it was someone I was waiting for. A guy called 'Mark' with a strong accent said I qualified for PPI. I told him I'm under 18, then ended the call. He called again, so I blocked the number. Didn't stop though, left me 4 voicemails in just 10 minutes, all begging me to call back straight away!

Got a call where they said I'd be getting a letter soon, but I didn't quite catch their name or what it was for. Then they started asking about any mortgages I might have. I ended the call straight away. They rang back right away, saying they just needed to ask a few yes or no questions. I told them I wasn’t interested and doubted I had anything to do with them. Then I heard a surprised "Why!!!?" before I put the phone down.

They keep calling about PPI, even after I told them to stop. This number's on the do not call list, so not sure why they're still ringing me. Proper dodgy these calls.

Definitely a scam. Just go ahead and block it.

I've been receiving calls at odd hours, and the caller either hangs up or lets it ring just once.

Got a call on my phone back on 25th Jan 2016, but i didn’t pick up cause the number was unkown to me. They left a voicemail which was just noise for like 2 minutes. Put the number on the blocked list straight away.

Received a rather unsolicited call at 10:29 this morning while I was absorbed in a lecture at Uni. I chose to ignore it. Being 22, I've never even been involved with PPI!

They call me daily, these lot are just annoying. They really should get a real job.

Some bloke called Mark, sounded like he had a really heavy accent (Nigerian maybe?), was going on about some letter of authorisation he was gonna send me. Total rubbish.

This number keeps calling me loads, super annoying. They were asking me yes or no questions about ppi, said they’d send a letter but then wanted my name and postcode??? If they’re calling to inform me, they should already have those details. Then they asked which bank I use, I told them if they’re calling, they should know that stuff and refused to say. After that, they passed me to some so-called manager who started asking which bank I was with?! I said his behaviour was really unprofessional and hung up. Looks like another dodgy scam, definitely block this number!!

Crikey! I received an absolute barrage of six calls in just one day from that pesky number 01619390454. The first one came through at 8:45 in the morning, followed by five more on my landline, and then one on my mobile too! I've finally had enough and blocked it on my phone. What a nuisance!

I got a call and gave my usual reply, told them I'm 19 and this is my phone, and that I don't have any PPI. When she mentioned that my parents bought the phone, I said yes but they already looked into the PPI thing and there wasn’t any. She just kept insisting otherwise, like she wasn’t hearing me. Honestly, what’s wrong with these callers? Then she said they'd be sending a letter but also wanted to call back later? Why bother with both? Totally confusing lol.

Got a call on my mobile from someone who said his name was Mark Williamson. He jumped straight in telling me I was entitled to a refund for my PPI claim. What annoyed me was he never said which company he was with. When I pressed him about whether his firm was registered with Companies House, he claimed they were. He said their name was PPI TEAM. I asked for the company registration number and he gave me 7554410. So I looked it up and it turns out it’s for LEPUS MARKETING LIMITED, a company registered on 7 March 2011 in Sale, Cheshire - nothing to do with PPI TEAM. When I questioned him about these inconsistencies he got quite rude. Honestly, watch out for this - it sounds like a total scam! The number that called me was 01619390454.

I’m done picking up for this number since the people calling won’t say where they got my details from. They rang me 7 times today alone. I followed some advice and called the actual company behind this number 02070602000, told them I was speaking to my lawyer. Sadly, “digital mail services” aren’t exactly honest folk, and hopefully they’ll get what they deserve soon. Just block it and share this everywhere you can.

Got calls from this number loads of times, all spam and some pretty rude people on the other end. Looks like it's just a dodgy number that’s being redirected through some online service. Best thing to do is block it or just ignore it and let others know so they don’t get caught out. Definitely a scammy one!

I’ve discovered that this number is affiliated with Digital Mail Ltd, located at 6 Osborn Street, London E1 6TD. While they’re not the ones directly ringing us, they certainly benefit from their clients causing us distress. Just received a call from this number, and I pride myself on being savvy enough to avoid scams, yet I must admit the woman on the line was rather persuasive. Before I knew it, I had shared an email address-thankfully, it’s not one I regularly use. She claimed that I was owed a whopping £3500 in PPI for loans I borrowed a decade back. It has me wondering, how on earth do they have access to such details? Or are they simply exceptionally skilled at manipulation? What have I gotten myself into?

Another nuisance! They just keep switching their phone number. Honestly, when will they finally stop? I've stopped even picking up these calls.

I've been receiving persistent phone calls, and more often than not, the callers end up sheepishly apologising. Just now, I had yet another call, which escalated into a heated confrontation. The chap on the line was shouting, insisting that he wouldn't bother calling if I wasn't due any money. When I probed him for my details, he abruptly cut the conversation short and hung up. Quite the spectacle, really!

This caller rang me again for the second time. She kept going on about credit cards and stuff. I told her to stop calling me or I’d have to report her to the police. I mentioned she already called the other day. I've now blocked the number. Watch out for these types!

It’s one of those PPI claim calls, just wind them up a bit and drop a text with some random words. It really confuses their call system.

I didn’t know the number so I just let it ring out. After looking it up online, I’ve decided to block it now.

Got a call this morning from some lady claiming to be from a PPI company, I just cut the call straight away without even saying anything. Then she rang back later on and asked why I was being so unfriendly. I told her nicely to leave me alone. Blocked the number after that.

Got six calls from this number in just a couple minutes (I work as a driver so couldn’t pick up while drivin). It kept ringing and I ended up stopping the bus I was driving (with passengers onboard) to answer, thinking it might be my mum’s partner who’s quite poorly right now. All I heard was call centre noise, someone swearing, then they hung up. Properly annoying for me and the people on the bus. After seeing what others said here, I’ve blocked the number now!

Normally I dont pick up calls from numbers I dont know, but I was waiting on a call from someone I havent saved yet so I answered this one. Total silence on the other end so I ended the call. Reading through the comments here now, ive blocked the number straight away :)

They've rung me loads, and today guy was really rude and cocky. I asked nicely for them to take my number off their list but he said it doesn’t matter and kept going. He kept banging on about PPI even though I never asked for it. When I tried to stop him, he told me to shut up and let him finish. I asked again to be removed but he just wouldn’t listen, so I ended up hanging up.

Keeps ringing and then just cuts off. So frustrating!

They were really rude, pushy and totally clueless. Best to just ignore or if you do pick up, mess with them and give fake info.

This guy was proper rude and aggressive, shouting at me even after I told him I’ve never had PPI. I ended the call but he kept ringing me back until I picked up again. Then he started saying I was wasting his and his company’s time. He also warned that if I hang up or don’t answer, they’d call me back five times! Super unpleasant and pushy. He didn’t even know my name or any details. I've blocked the number now.

I was at work when they rang, and I said I couldn't chat so I ended the call. Then they rang back straight away and actually called me a 'little b##ch!' quite rude!

I noticed a missed call from that number earlier today at 11:15 in the morning.

I keep getting calls from these people claiming I have a refund claim. They keep asking for my bank info and even want to know the name of my bank. It’s really annoying now, they just won’t leave me alone or remove my number from their list. PPI companies just keep ringing me non stop. Told them to buzz off but they keep using numbers that look almost exactly like the last ones they called from. I’ve blocked probably 10 different but super similar numbers, all from Manchester. Guess they’ll just try a new one when these get blocked again. Proper annoying.

Got a call from this number, they kept asking for Lisa which isn’t me. When I told them, they asked why I was swearing. Well, it’s my phone they dialled, and honestly, I get fed up with all the annoying PPI calls. I’m perfectly capable of sorting things out with my bank on my own, no need for their help.

Got a call from some bloke with an Aussie accent claiming he was a line manager for a PPI firm. Told him straight up I don’t have any credit cards, finance, or a mortgage under my name. He just accused me of lying. I ended the call, then he rang me back twice! Picked up the second time and he had the nerve to ask why I was being rude. Told him again there’s no way I’d be getting PPI calls, but he insisted I was on some blacklist and lying. I just hung up for good and blocked the number. Proper dreadful experience! Got a call from these lot today asking if I’d had any kind of accident or fall recently. I said yes, and they quickly jumped in offering legal help. But when I told them what actually happened was just me accidentally soiling myself going back from the pub, they just dropped the call straight away!! Turns out they don’t really care about helping after all.

Then they asked ‘how do you know that?’ So I explained. I asked where they got my number from as they didn’t know my name and just called me ma’am. They said it was from a database and even repeated my number back to me. Then they started talking about sending a letter to my address. When I said I wasn’t interested, they just kept going on, so I ended the call.

I keep getting calls on my landline from this 0161 939 number and others like it, even though I’ve been registered with the TPS for over three years. Whenever I pick up, it’s the same old story. Some bloke says I’ll be getting a letter about my supposed PPI claim. I always tell him to just send me the info they have on record by post. Then he asks me to confirm my address. I tell him to check what they’ve got on file. He says he can’t, something about data protection laws. So it’s clearly a cold call from Digital Mail’s clients. I ask him politely to take me off their list because I’m not interested. The guy says, “Don’t you want your free money back?” I snap back, “How can it be free if I already paid?” That shuts him up. I ask for their company’s address but he dodges the question. Then he starts getting rude, insisting he’s just doing a follow-up on a PPI claim I supposedly made. I told him straight I never asked for any of this and I’m not interested. When I ask where he’s calling from, he hesitates and mumbles “Manchester”. After going nowhere, I hang up, but they just keep calling. Now I don’t even bother answering - they ring up to twice a day. I’m pretty sure this call centre isn’t even in the UK. These calls have gone on nearly three years and I’ve told them to stop loads of times. Now it feels like harassment. I found out this call centre isn’t authorised under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (FSMA) to do anything related to PPI refunds. I spoke to Digital Mail about their clients and their support manager said they don’t do outbound calls for customers - so the numbers must be spoofed. I checked the website dmconnect12.com and Digital Mail’s so-called support team (people called Dee and Club Support) fed me complete rubbish. This South African call centre is using Digital Mail’s numbers to fake a legitimate UK business. The irony! These foreigners pretend to be local just to scam or phish us. I’m now planning on reporting Digital Mail to Action Fraud for letting their numbers be used like this. It isn’t a sales call or cold call - it’s basically a scam. If you try calling these numbers back, you’re told to ring 0870 446 0870 but the call disconnects after one ring, and you get charged as it’s a premium rate number. Sometimes during certain times you get a recorded message that tells you basically nothing. Got a call from this number, some young woman claiming to be from the ‘Payment Protection Unit’ about my PPI. I told her I’ve never had PPI, but she kept insisting I must’ve had it without knowing. When I questioned where she got my number from, she said it was from some PPI database. I asked her to take me off that list, and she suddenly went silent. The line stayed open though, so after a bit I cheekily asked if she was hard of hearing... and she just hung up! Another nuisance number gone. Honestly, when will the authorities actually do something to stop these annoying cold calls?!
