Got a call from a recorded message saying there was a tax fraud investigation with HMRC against me and I had to press 1 to talk to someone right away. Just ended the call straight away.

They rang up asking for the managing director by his name, but he wasn’t there so I said I’d help out. Then they claimed, “We send him loads of newsletters through email and need to update his info.” 1) That’s definitely not true. 2) If you’re already emailing him, why bother updating anything? 3) Honestly, data mining sounds like such a dull gig. 4) Just take off, honestly.

Someone rang up wanting to chat with whoever handles Data Protection here. They kept going on about Compliance and GDPR but never gave any clear details. So frustrating how stubborn they were! When I finally asked for specifics, all they said was they’d ring back. What a waste of time!

This "Expert Health and Safety" lot keep ringin' and always want to talk to the managing director by name. I've told them loads of times to stop adding us to their database. Can't seem to find anything about them online though. I guess they’re probably chasing us to renew some kind of subscription, maybe a magazine or summat like that.

Received a ring from this number today at 2:38 PM (10th October). I decided to pass on answering it and promptly blocked the contact.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with a magazine, saying they needed to update our records. They wouldn't speak to the receptionist and demanded to talk to a manager instead. When they got me on the line, I confirmed some basic info including my name - which is all publicly available online. Then they asked for my birth month, saying it was for auditing reasons. I wasn’t comfortable sharing that and said no, but they kept pushing it was ‘just for auditing’. In the end, I stood my ground and they just gave up and hung up.
