They asked for a name I didn’t really catch but it definitely wasn’t anyone I know. I told them there’s no-one here by that name and they said sorry and promised to take our number off their list - we’ll wait and see. They never said who they were.

I’m so over these calls. They rang me again today but hung up before I could answer. I called them back and gave them a right earful. They promised to remove my name from their list, but then had the nerve to ask for my address to stop sending mail. I didn’t give it and told them exactly where to shove their letters. Also mentioned that I was recording the call. I’ve got no debts at all and told them to stop bothering me for good.

From what others say, these seem to be debt collectors. It’s the second time I’ve got a call from a debt collector on my ex-directory number that’s on the TPS list. I’ve owned this number for almost 6 years and don’t owe anything. They never bother to leave a voicemail, so I reckon it’s probably some kind of scam.

They ring up only if 1) you owe cash to someone and they’re chasing that debt. 2) You’re already paying a monthly amount and they want to do their yearly review to check how much you can pay. I’m the second case. I definitely messed up with debts when I was younger, but nowadays I’m sorting it out bit by bit.

Naturally, I responded by asking them a specific set of security questions first. Unfortunately, they were unable to provide the correct answers. They then asked for my current address, and in return, I asked for their personal address, not their company address. Surprisingly, they refused to comply. I informed them that if they wished to communicate further, they should put their request in writing, emphasizing that I would then file their letter accordingly.

I received four phone calls in a single day from an exceedingly disagreeable individual. I instructed this person to communicate with me via written correspondence, providing me with the particulars of the alleged "debt" I supposedly owed. However, he insisted that writing was no longer an option in this matter. Being just 17 years old, I have never fallen into any debt, nor have I ever possessed enough funds to accrue any debts. Clearly, this is a deceptive scheme. Those individuals truly lack intelligence. I have now blocked their number.

I receive frequent calls from this number, but since I'm unaware of the caller's identity, I choose not to answer. In an attempt to find out who it is, I have tried calling them back using a different phone with the prefix "141" to withhold my own number. However, upon answering the call, they fail to mention the name of their company, which I find extremely unprofessional. Instead, they simply say that "a representative will be with you shortly." I have made a few attempts without receiving any proper response. It's worth mentioning that we have subscribed to the TPS, thus these calls should not be coming through in the first place!
