I'm pretty sure these folks are scammers. I went through something very similar to what others have mentioned here. When the woman said she'd transfer me to another person to handle payment, I told her to forget it because it felt dodgy, and that I'd contact my bank instead. I'm planning to report it to the Met Police fraud team. And on a side note, to the idiot who called them "black ####," they're not black, so keep your racist nonsense to yourself.

As many will undoubtedly be aware, there's a fine line between nuisance calls and outright scam attempts.

I recently received correspondence from TSB regarding an outstanding balance I apparently owed. Naturally, I contacted the bank using their official number, only to be directed to an 0161 line. Despite having passed their security checks, I was asked for my personal details once more. Trusting I had indeed reached the bank, I shared the requested information. The chap then spent an excessive half-hour lecturing me on financial management.
I eventually had to end the call. Just moments later, the same bloke rang me back, yet again requesting security verification. I kept insisting that reputable banks don’t make outbound calls to customers, nor do they return calls. He was relentless, so I hung up and have since avoided answering any calls.

This is actually TSB, not a scam as they checked my call when I complained. They rang me 6 times in one day even after I talked to them, asking odd personal things like about my mental health. Then, the same woman rang back that night and called me 5 times straight until I got so annoyed I had to pick up! When I complained, TSB said she didn’t do anything wrong. Quite a pestering number for sure. I’d just avoid answering.

This number is actually from TSB, not a scam. After I complained, they reviewed my call recording. They rang me six times in a single day, even after I spoke to them once. They started asking some odd questions, like stuff about my mental health. Then the same woman called again that evening, ringing me five times back to back until I just had to pick up out of irritation! I've come across tales like this one quite a bit. They said they were from TSB and wanted me to verify my info, I told them since they’re the ones calling, they should already have my details and to tell me what they know so I can either confirm or say no. Didn’t like being put on the spot like that, so I just ended the call.

Received a call on my mobile today. BE CAREFUL - I had a similar experience previously where I was left hanging on the line for a whopping 20 minutes, only to find out later that my account had been drained. It felt like they were mining my details while the line was active. Just hang up! Oh, and if you try to ring back, you’ll be greeted with the usual TSB 'please hold' message - very dodgy indeed.

I receive a minimum of two calls a day from this nuisance. After rejecting and swiftly hanging up on them for a bit, I finally opted to answer and toy with her by providing false details. I’m puzzled about how she managed to nab this address, though...

TSB Card Collections team rang me. At first it sounded like a local UK call centre, but then an Indian operator answered. I’ve dealt with their collections folks before and the language difference really causes problems. Being from Birmingham, I struggle to follow them and they don’t get what I’m saying either. I’ve been receiving countless calls throughout the day from the number 01619337040, and they immediately request my personal information. I've made it clear to them that our conversation is being recorded, and I can’t shake the feeling that this is a scam. I've reached out to my local branch about this four times now, but they seem utterly unfazed. I asked the callers to leave a note on my account, assuring them I’d address it in the branch, yet the staff there maintain that there’s nothing requiring my attention and have thoroughly checked my account. They keep insisting I should phone them back from the branch itself, which leaves me puzzled-why on earth would I need to call TSB while I’m already in a TSB branch? They have no satisfactory answer for that conundrum. It’s evident this is a scam, and it’s been flagged by countless individuals for ages. So, I’m left wondering why this number is still operational, continuing to bother innocent folks.

I seem to be receiving calls from the number mentioned above quite regularly, typically around 8 to 9 in the morning. Just today, I had a call at 8:23 from a lady with an Asian accent. It's becoming quite the nuisance!

For the third consecutive day, I’ve been plagued by calls from the same Indian lady claiming to represent TSB on behalf of my partner. He reached out to the official hotline and verified that they aren't making these calls to us. This caller insists it’s some sort of "automated system" that requires our personal information to terminate our account. When I requested to speak with a supervisor, she had the gall to transfer me... back to herself! I've made it abundantly clear that my partner is away on business for a few weeks and yet she continues to ring. If she dares to call again tomorrow, I reckon I’ll just dish out some nonsense information and hope this saga comes to a close!

As the chap rambled on the line, I took the liberty of looking him up online and discovered it was all a con. I decided to string him along for as long as he fancied chitchatting. His main request was for my “bank account number and sort code” to supposedly set up a standing order to ensure I wouldn’t miss any future payments. I thought I’d have a bit of fun and just fabricated some details, which seemed to please him no end. He’s in for a surprise when those made-up numbers yield nothing! In any case, by keeping him on the phone for a good quarter of an hour, I might just have prevented someone else from falling prey to this nonsense today.

I've received a fair few calls from this number, and after perusing your website, I decided to give them a miss. Today, out of the blue, they sent me a message saying they were from O2 and urging me to ring them on a number they insisted was toll-free! Not a chance I'll be falling for that one.

I've received calls on both my home and mobile phones from someone claiming to represent TSB. The woman on the line had an Asian accent and inquired about my banking information, which raised a red flag, so I ended the call straight away. These calls are coming through at different times, mostly in the morning and afternoon, and I even got two calls past 8 in the evening, one on the home phone and another on my mobile. Quite concerning, really!

I've received a fair few calls from this particular number, all in an attempt to get in touch with my son. He switched his contact details about a month ago after moving out. I reached out to TSB via Twitter to see if their fraud department could intervene and put an end to this nuisance. They replied, confirming it indeed belonged to their collections department, advising that my son should update his details either in the branch or through the website, which he has since sorted. They even provided the number 0345 600 8973 for any inquiries about the incessant calls. Hopefully, this information proves useful to others.

I've got loads of calls from this number asking for my son. He switched his contact info around a month ago when he moved. I contacted TSB on Twitter, asking if their fraud team could block this scam caller. They replied saying it was actually their collections dept and advised my son to update his details either at a branch or online, which he’s already done. I got a rather odd message the other day, requesting a person with a non-British name to get in touch. It claimed to be from TSB. Naturally, I didn’t respond. Ever since, I’ve been bombarded with calls from them, twice a day without fail. Considering the sheer volume of complaints regarding this number, don’t you think it’s high time action was taken? It’s been a problem for over two years now!!!!!!!
