When the woman said she'd transfer me to another person to handle payment, I told her to forget it because it felt dodgy, and that I'd contact my bank instead. Loads of people call these either nuisance or scam calls, and there’s good reason for it. I got a letter supposedly from TSB saying I was behind on a payment. So I rang the number I always use for the bank, and the call got connected to a 0161 number. Even after I’d passed security checks, they started asking for more personal info. Because I thought it was genuinely the bank, I gave them the details they wanted. The bloke then spent more than half an hour going on about how I should handle my money. I ended up having to hang up. Then the same guy rang me back and asked me to verify my details again. I told him more than once that banks don’t normally ring customers or call back, but he just wouldn’t quit. In the end, I just ended the call and now I don’t pick up any calls like that.

This is actually TSB, not a scam as they checked my call when I complained. They rang me 6 times in one day even after I talked to them, asking odd personal things like about my mental health. Then, the same woman rang back that night and called me 5 times straight until I got so annoyed I had to pick up! When I complained, TSB said she didn’t do anything wrong. Quite a pestering number for sure. I’d just avoid answering.

They started asking some odd questions, like stuff about my mental health. Got a call on my cell today. Heads up, last time this happened, I was stuck on the phone for about 20 minutes, and then all my money vanished from my account. Looks like they were messing with it while I was still connected. Just hang up straight away. Also, if you try to ring them back, you only hear that standard TSB "please hold" automated message.

this annoying number has been ringing me like twice each day. I used to pick up and just hang up straight away, but then I thought I’d mess with them a bit by giving bogus details when I finally spoke. no idea if they bought my made-up address... something like 13 Scamnoway, Isle of Bacon, Scotlandshire, B8 2FU.

Somebody rang me saying they were from NatWest and wanted my date of birth and postcode but didn’t say what for. I refused and ended the call. Feels a bit fishy to me.

Got a call saying it was from TSB, asking for my date of birth and postcode. I asked them how I could be sure they were really from the bank, and they told me to just visit my local branch or ring them back using a number. They've been calling me on both my home phone and mobile nonstop.

TSB Card Collections team rang me. At first it sounded like a local UK call centre, but then an Indian operator answered. I’ve dealt with their collections folks before and the language difference really causes problems. Being from Birmingham, I struggle to follow them and they don’t get what I’m saying either. The whole thing ends up a mess, so I just hang up.

This number keeps ringing me at all sorts of times, like twice a day or more. When I picked up, a woman with a foreign accent asked for me but couldn't even pronounce my name properly - you'd think if it’s the bank, they'd get that right! She kept insisting there was something wrong with my account and wanted to “clarify” it. Problem is, I barely use that account, so I got suspicious. She kept probing for my date of birth, postcode, and wanted me to confirm personal details. When I asked what the issue actually was, she couldn’t give me an answer without me handing over info first. I told her I was about to head into town and planned to visit my bank branch in person. That didn’t go down well - she seemed annoyed and said we could fix everything over the phone to make it easier for me. I eventually had to just hang up to stop the call, but they keep coming back!

tsb credit card people keep ringing no matter what until you deal with your debt. i talked to my local tsb branch but they still keep calling, that’s when it feels like harrassment.

I’ve had this happen again, same number calling me non-stop every single day. They say it’s TSB and insist my partner should get in touch, but when we ring the official TSB numbers, they have no clue what’s going on. It’s so frustrating!

I keep getting calls many times a day from 01619337040, and they immediately ask for my personal info. I’ve told them the calls are recorded and I’m convinced it’s some kind of scam. I’ve called my bank branch about this four times now but they don’t seem bothered. I told them to just put a note on my account if it’s legit and I’ll sort it with them in person. But the branch said there’s nothing unusual and they’ve checked everything thoroughly. They even told me to call them while I’m actually in the branch, which makes no sense at all - why would I call the bank if I’m already there? They couldn’t explain that. Obviously it’s a scam because loads of people have reported it for ages, so why is the number still being used to bother folks?

This number keeps ringing me up almost daily, usually between 8 and 9 in the morning. Today, at exactly 8:23am, I got a call from an Asian lady again.

For the third day running, an Indian lady pretending to be from TSB has been ringing up for my partner. We checked with the genuine TSB helpline, and they said they're not trying to get in touch with us. She keeps calling, claiming it’s some automated system needing personal info to “close our number.” When I asked for a manager, she just put me through to herself! I’ve told her over and over to quit calling since my partner’s away for work overseas for a few weeks. If she rings again tomorrow, I’m just gonna make up details and hope that stops her.

When he called, I quickly looked him up online and saw it was definitely a con. I dragged the conversation out as long as I could. The bloke was after my bank details - sort code and account number - to supposedly put in a standing order so I wouldn’t miss payments. I just gave him made-up numbers, which he seemed fine with. Bet he won’t be too chuffed when they don’t actually go through. Hopefully, hanging about on the line for around 15 minutes means someone else won’t fall for his rubbish today.

This number has kept ringing me loads of times, but after checking out your site, I just stopped answering. They even sent a message today saying they were with O2 and gave a number to call back, saying it was a freephone. Yeah right, no chance I’m falling for that.

I got calls on my house phone and my mobile from someone saying they were with tsb. The woman had an asian accent and started asking for my banking info but i just ended the call straight away. These calls keep coming during the day, morning and afternoon, and ive even had two late calls after 8 at night, one on each phone.

I've gotten loads of calls from this number asking for my son as well. He updated his info around a month ago after moving out. I reached out to TSB on Twitter, asking if their fraud team could block this scam number from bothering others. They replied saying it was actually their collections department calling and advised my son to update his details either online or at a branch, which he’s already done. They gave the number 0345 600 8973 for us to call and find out why the calls keep coming. Hopefully, this info is useful for someone else too.
