I've received numerous calls from this number, but I always ignore unidentified callers. They’ve sent me messages on two occasions claiming that I owe tax for my self-assessment and urgently requesting personal information and bank details. I’d advise everyone to remain vigilant, as this appears to be a scam masquerading as HMRC.

I got a call from this number, a guy who said his name was Mike and that he was from HMRC. After I gave him some info, he asked for my latest payslips, which made me suspicious. So, I rang HMRC myself and they told me they never made that call and that it was definitely a scam. Just a heads up, these scammers can be really convincing, so watch out!

Somebody just said that I'm going to get arrested soon.

Got a call from this number, some person claiming to be from HMRC. They said I owed £20,000 in tax and demanded £5,000 straight away or they'd block all my bank accounts and freeze my assets. Seemed totally dodgy to me.

I got a call from someone saying they were the police and that they were on their way to arrest me.

Beware if you get a call from this number, its not legit. They tricked me out of £950 by pretending to be from HMRC and threatening me with arrest for supposedly dodging taxes! They even told me to rush and buy iTunes and Steam gift cards to pay them. Every time I checked online, all info pointed to some HMRC scam. Seriously, dont fall for it!

Got a call saying they were from the local police and that they were coming to arrest me. It turns out it's connected to some HMRC scam using the number 02080770320. I tried ringing back on a 0161 number they gave, but it wasn’t even recognised. Proper dodgy.
