When I asked who was calling, they said HRS or something like that. They already had all my info from some online survey I did, and claimed I’d asked for a life insurance quote (which I never did). I told them I hadn’t agreed to be contacted, but they insisted I had, then rattled off my email, date of birth, and full name. I told them to delete my info, they asked if I actually had life insurance, I repeated to remove my details and that I wasn’t talking about it. They said they’d do it and then just hung up.

This company called Home Data Research from Altringham, Manchester has been ringing me every single evening at exactly 7.29pm. It's been going on for months and it wakes up my newborn baby each time. Just got a call from this number, and as soon as I answered, they just hung up. I reckon it's connected to the First Stop accident management lot, as I gave them a piece of my mind yesterday. That’s because I got a letter from Aviva recently, apologising about one of their staff selling info about a car crash I was involved in some time ago to a third party. They said the employee was dismissed, but Aviva hasn't really spelled out exactly what info was shared - probably my phone number at least. When First Stop rang yesterday, I straight up asked if they bought my data off the expelled Aviva worker, and then they promptly ended the call. Looks like some young bloke is having a laugh making annoying calls now. Well, lucky for me I've got a tin whistle that's sure to make some noise next time!
