Once more, the line went dead as they hastily hung up. What a surprise!

I received a call from these individuals claiming to be from a search engine, trying to sell advertising space on Google’s homepage! Quite the odd approach, I must say!

I appreciate the information you've provided. Just this morning, I received a call from this number, but they disconnected before I had a chance to speak. We've noted it down and filed it under 'ignore' in our contacts, even giving it a silent ringtone for good measure. It's quite irritating, especially since I’m on the Telephone Preference Service list, yet these firms continue to disregard it. Thanks once more to whocalls us for uncovering yet another nuisance caller, which has now been relegated to our ignore list. Keep up the excellent work!

What a complete swindle! The notion that one can purchase "advertising for Google's front page" is utterly ludicrous. You can easily enrol in search engine AdWords at no cost (a simple search will show you how), but do bear in mind that there’s no assurance of landing an ad on the first page. It's essential to note that this is entirely separate from achieving a prime position via organic search results. Anyone who rings you up claiming to be associated with a search engine or offering to sell you a "first-page" spot is undoubtedly up to no good. Reputable search engines certainly don’t resort to cold calling to attract advertisers!

Called us twice earlier today, trying to sell us on first-page search engine links for limousine hire. Quite frankly, we’re not keen-just a lot of grand promises with no real results.

This company seems to have a habit of not actually mentioning which search engine they represent. It’s quite baffling how people jump to conclusions. They claim to be calling about Google-but it’s crucial to catch that they are indeed search engine specialists and offer prime-page listings. It appears that the mere mention of "search engine" leads to confusion, resulting in many opting to ignore the call or passing it along without truly engaging. I do understand that some people can be rather rude during these calls, but let’s not forget that not everyone behaves that way. It would be wise to pay closer attention when they introduce themselves!

I received a call earlier today from someone inquiring about the "Owner" of the business. When we asked who was calling and if we could assist them, as we happen to be her partner (both in life and in business), they abruptly replied, "No. I’ll try again later," and then hung up quite rudely. How delightful!

There was a moment of quiet before they finally hung up the phone.

Earlier today, we received a rather unexpected call from a woman claiming to represent Google. She was quite insistent that she could help us secure a spot on the first page of search engine results. However, when we mentioned that we’re already engaged with another company for our online ranking needs, she went on to say that this current company is completely taking advantage of us! It was an odd exchange, and honestly, we decided to just hang up.

A chap called us earlier today, on the 10th of November, 2008, trying to sell us some sort of front-page listing on Google. We asked, rather courteously, if she could drop us an email with the specifics, but she insisted on a response within thirty minutes and came across rather overbearing. It didn’t take long for us to see just how unprofessional she was. We politely declined, explaining that we couldn’t commit to such a quick reply. She didn’t take it well and ended the call rather abruptly!

The caller is ridiculously tenacious! They've rung me four times within just an hour, and it seems like they’re at it nearly every day. The latest chap goes by the name of Dave. At this point, we’ve simply decided to toss the phone aside and leave him hanging. It's quite amusing, really! 😉

Just received a call from these folks claiming to be from a search engine (not buying it!). They asked when we’d like our site to feature on the first page. I couldn't resist telling them that we’re already sitting pretty there, all thanks to our own efforts! Must say, he was quite affable, which is a refreshing change from some of the others I’ve heard about.

I recently received a message left on our mobile that mentioned "Ian calling regarding search engines, Google, and your first page, etc." We had clearly communicated our disinterest to these folks last week. The name left was Ian Rose, and I must say, it would be a mistake for him to hold his breath waiting for us to return his call!

Just had a rather jarring call from these folks, and before we could even wrap up our thought with 'The Managing Director isn't in,' the receiver was slammed down! Apparently, they claimed to be calling regarding Google.

Received a call from someone named "Nathan" who seemed quite keen on discussing the same topic. Oddly enough, he popped up right on the first page of search results related to our business. We made it clear that we were not interested in what he had to offer, but his response was alarmingly loud and aggressive, shouting "WHY?" at us. At that point, we thought it best to hang up. It definitely gave off a vibe of someone up to no good.

I recently had a rather unpleasant exchange with a bunch of folks who were insisting they'd received some kind of funding for DJ gear, proudly showcased on Google's homepage. The moment we expressed our disinterest, they turned confrontational, grilling us about our reasons for declining their offer. We didn’t hold back and simply told them that their claims were utter rubbish. Their response? Telling us to "get our heads sorted" before abruptly hanging up the phone. Quite the experience, I must say!

Received an essential message via our secretarial service claiming to be from 'Google'. I figured it was just a load of nonsense, and it turns out I was right to be sceptical!

I've received three calls so far, all promising to catapult me to the front page of Google. But let's be realistic-if I take the plunge and invest in this, will it really place me up there? Perhaps not. It feels like a right royal waste of my time, and as we all know, time equals money!
