I got a call about insurance for my washing machine and they told me I wasn't covered. Then when I asked about the fridge and freezer, they said it was included in my home insurance and just ended the call. Bit odd because they asked for me by name, even though I’m ex-directory.

Got a call from 0161 914 7756, some woman from 'Home Mend' or summat like that. Never come across that company before! She was banging on about my insurance being rubbish - not a chance! Proper annoying.

Got a call today from a woman claiming to be from Homemend, saying our white goods insurance had run out. We’ve never signed up for any insurance or extended warranties like that. She got really annoyed when I told her she was making an unsolicited call and fibbing about us having insurance. How did they manage to get past my TPS and call blockers? I’ve reported them for misusing data, and I’d advise anyone else to do the same. Let the TPS investigate how they slipped through.

Just got a call from 01619147756 claiming my insurance for my fridge and washing machine was about to run out. Complete rubbish cause I only bought the washer recently and it’s got two years of cover left. When I asked about that, the woman, who sounded Asian, just ended the call on me! Total scam.

Somebody rang me offering insurance renewal for appliances. I told them I didn’t own any, but they reckoned I had cover for my cooker and fridge. When I kept saying nope, they said they’d check and just hung up. They called me by name, but the number was an old one that’s on the TPS list, and I barely ever use it. This is the second time they’ve called. Definitely feels like a scam to me.

So annoying, I must get nearly 3 or 4 calls from these fraudsters every month! I thought the TPS was supposed to stop this, how do they keep slipping through? Really tired of these constant interruptions.

This bloke rang me up saying my kitchen insurance at home was costing me too much. I asked him to give me the policy number so I could check if what he said was true. He just kept repeating how my rate wasn’t good. I told him straight I wasn’t going to chat unless he could provide the policy number and the company’s name. Then he said if I wasn’t interested, he’d end the call and just hung up. Total SCAMMER - don’t share your info with these people.

Got a call from some Asian woman claiming to be from Homend or Home End about a kitchen appliance cover we supposedly have. She had my name, but when I mentioned the TPS registration, she told me to talk to my hubby then just ended the call. Total scammers!

Got a call from this British lady who said her name was Gabb, short for Gabrielle, advertising a deal on carpet cleaning around here. Number was 01619147756, conversation lasted about 20 minutes. She was offering 3 carpets cleaned for £39! When I rang back, an American woman named Gabe picked up instead. She said Gabb would ring me again in 15 seconds - yeah right, sure she would.

Got a call from a woman with a foreign accent saying she was from Home Mend. Like others have said, she tried telling me I had insurance for my oven and washing machine with them and wanted to offer a better deal. I already have a policy through another company, so I knew right away it was dodgy. Ended the call and blocked the number straight away!

got a call from nina, sounded like she had an accent from abroad. she was pushing some sort of insurance for my appliances. told her I don’t have any cover since my stuff is quite old anyway. she kept trying to convince me to sign up. in the end, I just asked her to send me all the info through the mail.

Got a call about insuring my kitchen gadgets, sounded like a total scam to me. Best if you just don’t pick up or block the number right away. If you’re on the TPS, definitely report the call along with the company name and number if you managed to get it. They take these things seriously and the caller could end up facing a big fine. Stay sharp!

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent about home appliance cover. I explained that we have a local guy do all our repairs and wasn’t keen on their offer. Decided to block the number after that.

Got a call from a lady with a clear Indian accent, speaking pretty good English, about extending our kitchen gadget insurance. We only ever stick with the manufacturer’s cover, so when she mentioned something about it finishing soon, I asked which appliance she meant. She first said fridge freezer but then corrected herself to oven when I asked the brand. I just ended the call there. I reckon she was trying to get our bank info next. Thankfully, I’ve put her number on BT’s call blocker now.

This morning I got a call from a bloke with an accent who started off by saying 'good evening' which was a bit odd at that time. Then he went on about some insurance for my kitchen appliances. I told him I don’t have any cover like that and just ended the call.
