After reading the other comments, it seems this might be an IVA firm, even though I’ve never had any dealings with them. I’ve blacklisted the number, yet I keep getting alerts about missed calls from them around three to five times daily. It’s really feeling like harassment by now, but I can’t seem to track down the company’s name to lodge a complaint. ##update## I phoned the number myself and found out it’s Hanover Recovery. I’ve told them to take my number off their list, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens!

got a call about sorting out a debt, they slapped me with £80 but lucky me, managed to get it refunded from my bank. told them off proper, told em to stop calling and not to bother if they’re gonna be cheeky. seriously, dont pick up if it rings, report them ASAP. they try to grab your bank info over the call and probably take over your accounts or something dodgy like that.

Got a text from +44 7418 344009 claiming they’d call me from 0161 905 4759 to offer help with my debt. They asked me to set up an £80 direct debit but when I said I couldn’t, they just ended the call with some dodgy excuses that didn’t sit right with me. They also mentioned a website called moneyadviceservice.org[###], which sounded fishy. Pretty sure this is a scam!

28th November 2018 - I received a missed call at 3:26 pm, followed almost immediately by two text messages at 3:27 pm. The first one read, “Hello Sha, we appreciate your recent application. A colleague will reach out to you shortly from the number 01619054759. Looking forward to our conversation.” The second message said, “Hello Sha, I attempted to ring you about your recent inquiry regarding debt assistance. Please get in touch with Simon at 01619054759 so we can go over your options. Alternatively, if you could reply to this message with a convenient time for a call, that would be great. Best wishes, Simon Main.” I’d like to clarify that my name is NOT Sha - I've had no dealings with debt assistance whatsoever and I’m unfamiliar with anyone named Simon Main. I've since deleted these messages and chose not to respond!
