After reading the other comments, it seems this might be an IVA firm, even though I’ve never had any dealings with them. I’ve blacklisted the number, yet I keep getting alerts about missed calls from them around three to five times daily. It’s really feeling like harassment by now, but I can’t seem to track down the company’s name to lodge a complaint. ##update## I phoned the number myself and found out it’s Hanover Recovery. I’ve told them to take my number off their list, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens!

got a call about sorting out a debt, they slapped me with £80 but lucky me, managed to get it refunded from my bank. told them off proper, told em to stop calling and not to bother if they’re gonna be cheeky. seriously, dont pick up if it rings, report them ASAP. they try to grab your bank info over the call and probably take over your accounts or something dodgy like that.

Got a text from +44 7418 344009 claiming they’d call me from 0161 905 4759 to offer help with my debt. They asked me to set up an £80 direct debit but when I said I couldn’t, they just ended the call with some dodgy excuses that didn’t sit right with me. They also mentioned a website called moneyadviceservice.org[###], which sounded fishy. Pretty sure this is a scam!

On 28/11/18, I got a missed call around 3.26pm, followed by two texts at 3.27pm. The first one said something like “Hi Sha, thanks for your recent application, someone from the team will call you soon from 01619054759. Looking forward to chatting.” The second message was about a debt help enquiry: “Hi Sha, I tried phoning about your recent debt help query, please ring Simon on 01619054759 to go over your options. Or just reply with a good time to call you back. Cheers, Simon Main.” Just to be clear, my name isn’t Sha, I never made any contact about debt help, and I don’t know this Simon Main at all. I ignored and deleted both texts straight away!
