Today, I received a call on my home phone from a lady purporting to work for Amazon, and the number appeared to originate from Manchester. She informed me that it was time to renew my Amazon Prime subscription if I wished to maintain access to their offerings. To my astonishment, she quoted a renewal fee of around £80! The kicker is, I've never subscribed to Amazon Prime in the first place and was completely baffled by her claims. When I mentioned this to her, she promptly cut the conversation short. Clearly, it was just a scam attempt.
