Got a call from someone pretending to offer a washing machine warranty extension. Total scam.

This bloke called me up and already seemed to know my name and where I live. He claimed to be from some kitchen gadgets company and wanted to check if my appliances were all running fine. I was a bit confused and asked what the heck he meant. Then he started asking if my washing machine was still functioning. I told him that’s just one appliance outta many. I was still puzzled and told him he should put whatever questions he’s got into a letter and send it over. Not long after, he just hung up on me.

Somebody called outta the blue asking to talk to the person who owns the house, said they were from a solar panel firm or summat. Was a cold call, I didn't ask for it.
