Got a call from some bloke calling himself Jonathan, said he was from O2’s discount team. While we were chatting, I got a legit text from O2 with a code. He then told me to read out the code to him. I’m pretty sure they were trying to use that code to hack into my account or change my password.

I got a call from someone saying they were with O2, and while I was still on the phone, they sent me a couple of texts promising 30% off on contracts. I looked up the number here, and when I mentioned it’s marked as spam, she kept insisting she was really from O2. I wasn’t having any of it and told her I wouldn’t be taking it any further since the number shows as spam. Ended up blocking it after that.

Had a call from some lot claiming I could get 30% off my O2 contract, said they’d send a text but warned me not to show it to anyone. I thought it sounded dodgy, maybe a scam if O2 actually called me afterwards 😂 I played along for a bit but got fed up just before I got the text, so told them I wasn’t even with O2 - then they just hung up. Fingers crossed they call again 🤣

Someone called saying they were from O2 and offering me a 30% cut on my phone bill. After a while, they let me speak with their so-called "supervisor" to confirm the offer. But really, this person was just trying to gather info - stuff like my date of birth, full name, email and address - so they could sell it somewhere dodgy. Don't trust them and definitely don’t share any details!

CAUTION: CLEARLY A SCAM ALERT! I received a call from a chap whose command of English was rather lacking, and his accent suggested he might be from India. He claimed he could enhance my mobile contract. Out of curiosity, I decided to engage him a bit and fired off a barrage of questions regarding my existing arrangement, my provider, and the monthly fees (of course, I provided utter nonsense). After some back-and-forth, he suddenly mentioned I'd need to fork out £50 upfront for the upgrade, and that someone would ring me to collect my payment details. He was keen on obtaining all sorts of personal information. At that juncture, I promptly ended the call.

Completely dodgy business! The bloke on the other end claimed to be from O2, trying to entice me with an early upgrade. His English was appalling, and he sounded like he was reading off a script.
