Just yesterday, I received a call from this number, purporting to be from British Gas, supposedly to chat about my renewal. Oddly enough, my renewal isn’t even on the horizon for another six months! They then inquired if I’d be open to a third party reaching out to me shortly after, probably within 10 to 15 minutes. When I questioned the rationale behind involving a third party for an account that is clearly managed directly by them, the fellow on the line was utterly stumped and couldn’t provide a sensible answer. I firmly told him to take a hike, ended the call, and promptly blocked the number.
